So not much changed on a "wait and see" quarter. Well they can hold my money for a while longer I guess. I imagine that some small investors will get impatient and sell the stock down over the next few months, but I'll be waiting to add below 1.70 during the boring time between calls. We know that no bad news is likely to be reported between now and may. So we'll just wait for phillips bafoons to run up the price to 2.50 and make a nice 30% on the side.
Penguin, I'll humor you. I just listened to the call from start to finish. I, in no way, got the vibe that this company was months away from bankrupcy like you believe. My ears heard what Rolly did, in that we(us longs) are closer than ever to seeing the MOSY vision come to fruition. I did'nt hear much negative other than we are not going to get paid today, but rather later in the year. and even if it is next year, fine with me. I am not retiring that soon. This company is destined to do something good and I loved that they said that they are "all in with research and development". That is the kind of company I want to invest in. Not a 2% company with a dividend. Life is too short man.
i've suspected what you confirm but usually play for longer runs. care to divulge your intra-day tells?
I'm in your camp gipper. I cannot believe that the valuation of this company is nearly 1/3 less than it was two weeks ago. I feel this is a fine entry point. but 65 is a nice round number to look at come monday.
Although it would be nice to hear some good news for a change, I find it to be unlikely that it really will happen tomorrow morning. If something good were to be revealed, I have to think that the last few days of trading would have looked a little different. Oh well, maybe the technology breakthrough will occur later this year. Not giving up!
That is a completely plausable theory. And good for those smart professionals for risking the proper amount of $ to make it profitable for them. Putting that shenanaganz aside, I sincerely hope that Len will share some positive news on the conference call about what MOSY investors have to look foreward to in 2015.
I Like the Trading Places reference, Nice! One question though, who is there to "take profits"? Since the stock is barely off it's bottom most investors are not in a position to take profits. -cut their losses, is that what you meant to say?
It will be interesting to watch the volume over the next few days. will it get quiet or will be see some new blood throwing their hat's into the ring?
the article shared my sentiments about not fearing. -also included that the analyst who downgraded the stock last week has made a largely erroneous determination in Sketchers which proves his unreliability. and the point I liked the most was this. (paraphrased) -Most stock ownership is by traders, not investors. which predicates that the majority of stock movement is caused by the agenda of the giant block shareholders which may or may not have ANYTHING whatsoever to do with the fundamentals of the company. Therefore, reacting to stock movement without empirical data is playing exactly into the hands of the Sharks. If earnings are bad, then so be it. Longs deserve to lose value. But until the ER and guidance, I'm holding fast.
Last quarter was VERY solid by all accounts, yet the stock got punished. Unfounded volatility is simply the way this stock rolls. If the ER is solid again, which there is NO real evidence against, two quarters worth of pressure will be pushing value upwards. Secondly, Options expiration can come into play with any stock. But when you are dealing with this heavily shorted company, a seven dollar drop in a day or 20% in a week is just run of the mill stock bullying. It just happens. just wait and see what happens next week. -return to the 90's I'm betting.
thanks for "taking one for the team"! I just got back in today when I saw it below $80. This exact schmidt happened in early November. There is nothing wrong with this comapany or it's earnings. Just buy low and sell high. It's not that complicated.
It's clear that people are systematically acquiring MOSY shares these last three weeks. Interesting that most of the daily charts show steep increases in the closing minutes of each day. hmmm. My un-scientific guess is that speculators will buy it up to 2.50 and not much higher until the next call.
phil- if you look at the two year chart, you can see that MOSY went from 3.37 to 5.99 from jan.2013-jan.2014 That is very close to a double.
