I usually use the local newspaper and their golf special addition. Costs are $600 for the few ads I run a year (golf, wedding, and membership ads). I don't usually get any direct members from using these ads, but hope it plants seeds for the future if they need to host a party they will think of our club. It is hard to measure it's effectiveness since people don't knock down the door saying they heard about us in the newspaper. It cost $5.60 yesterday to get directly 25 new members! Amazing. People who bought the offer then gave notices to their golfing buddies and then it seemed to snowball.
Just wanted to add my two cents on Facebook advertising. I put an add in yesterday for a new country club membership drive. I was able to target golfers within 50 miles from my club at a certain age. In one day my ad reached 4000 people, had over 100 click on the offer, and had 25 purchase memberships. Cost me .55 cents per offer that was purchased. What a grand slam home run! I officially cut my advertising budget by 80 percent by not using newspaper while having great results. I can't wait to see how many share, like, and sign up today.
Today's price action is very similar to the July 25th blow out earnings. Went down a bit in the afternoon after big ah gains. Don't forget the move up from 34 to 40 in the following 6 trading days. Hoping we get that same action!
