I don't think the EMA would approve Esbriet if the drug didn't work. And I especially don't think the Italian, English, German and all the other socialized medical programs would discuss pricing of Esbriet if they thought it was going to be a failure. Each countries socialized medical programs are not obligated to offer every drug the EMA approves. Reimbursement conditions are a part of every new drug launch in Europe.
