The World Health Organization says Cuba has reached one of the greatest public health milestones possible. It has ended the mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis. At a news conference in Havana, W-H-O representative Jose Luis di Fabio praised Cuba's health system. (SOUNDBITE)(English) WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION REPRESENTATIVE JOSE LUIS DI FABIO, SAYING: "Cuba has the diagnostic measures, it has the health system that permits all mothers to be identified, tested and, in the event of testing positive, universal access to the anti-retrovirals." UNICEF Representative Anna Lucia d'Emilio says Cuba's achievement shows that ending the AIDS epidemic is possible. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNICEF REPRESENTATIVE ANNA LUCIA D'EMILIO, SAYING: "It means we are in a world that is getting closer to being totally free of HIV. This is our dream and thanks to the efforts that Cuba has made, they are demonstrating that it is possible." Around the world, about one-point-four million women with H-I-V become pregnant each year. Without treatment, up to 45-percent of them will transmit the disease to their children. WHO officials hope Cuba will be the first of many countries to change that statistic.

Hey Kiddo -
There's a rumor floating around that 56% of the patients enrolled in the Phase 2 trial were "Ladies of the Night" and that 1/2 of them will be back to enroll in Phase 3.
But then again, it's just a rumor!! LOLZ
Hey Felix -
Me thinks you have a very nice voice, indeed!! :-)
Frederick - Game Of Thrones
Hey Mike - This arrived in my inbox yesterday. I hope it brings a smile to your face.
Government Investigates Farmer
The Texas Department of Employment, Division of Labor Standards claimed a small rancher was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to investigate him.
GOV’T AGENT: “I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them.”
RANCHER: ”Well, there’s my hired hand who’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $200 a week plus free room and board. Then there’s the mentally challenged guy. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board, and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night so he can cope with life. He also sleeps with my wife occasionally.”
GOV’T AGENT: “That’s the guy I want to talk to - the mentally challenged one.”
RANCHER: “That would be me.”
Hey GD - I heard an unconfirmed rumor from a cousin of the wife of someone's brother-in-law that attended the JMP Securities Life Sciences Conference. That guy said that he overheard from another attendee that the PTX’s BOD is going to trade Duggie Drysdale to a “farm team” and bring in someone new from the bullpen. Supposedly the new guy is a “lefty” and has a killer curveball !! :-) :-)
PS - But you and I both really know how these type of rumors get started!! LOLZ
Hey TF - Mark Glickman has in fact joined Adrian as the new company's (merger between POZEN and Tribute) CCO. Just like the "rumor" I posted on March 9th. LOLZ
Hey ES - I would suggest giving The Laser Spine Institute a call @ 1-866-249-1627.
People come from all over the world. However, they only treat patients that fit a certain set of circumstances, (great business model - high success rate) so be prepared to be turned away IF your second half doesn't fit their niche!
And IF you pass their "entrance exam" make sure that it's Dr. Robert Gruber that does the surgery!! GL
It will be interesting to see the pricing of the IPO and the subsequent price action. Not sure if it will be another CyberArk(???)
FYI Researcher - Rapid7 filed their $80MM IPO on 6/11. Trading symbol will be RPD. I am confident you'll do your DD - your reputation precedes you!! :-)
Hey Kitty Amaqundi - Where have you been hiding?? Haven't heard much from you lately!!
Hey Patch – The other day, four of us chartered a Piper Aztec and went over to the Puerto Rican Trench and did some fishing.
I was reluctant at first, because my “sea-legs” just aren’t what they used to be. :-(
Anyway we caught 8 Marlin, 2 Sailfish, 14 Mahi-Mahi, 2 Sharks and a Partridge in a pear tree. Quite a day!!
All were catch & release, except for the 4’2” Bull Mahi-Mahi (can’t say dolphin anymore – LOL)
We had him for dinner one night with plenty of wine!!
Moving to the mainland next week.
Hey Faosto - You posted on 6/4 that you sold your RCPT position, yet you sound very upbeat on the company. Are you expecting a pullback soon to re-establish your position?? (scratching head!!)
6 million feet tall?????? WOW - that's a lot of windows to clean!! LOLZ
GOOD FOR YOU!!!
BTW - Your RCPT position reminds me of when I bot a double-wide trailer of NFLX in the fall of 2011 when it came crashing down due to a change in subscription rates. Currently, that office high rise is just about as tall and sits in "Irrevocable Trustville".
PS - Why would postpartum depression be any different than ordinary depression?? I don't get it!
Hey Patch - I think $300 sounds about right!! Lake front house here we come! :-)
Still holding FOLD. Are you still holding CLLS and any other CAR-T(s) ????
