Hey Patch - I bot OMER back around the 18th for a day trade. Already holdingplenty of EBIO.
Did you see my fishing joke in an earlier thread??
Hey TY2R - Good post - It's always good to gain another perspective by utilizing analogies.
BTW - Did you know that they are now printing "In TW We Trust" on bitcoins?? :-)
Hey DS - Apparently are more than just one poster on this message board that have something to learn from you!!
Hey AA - I too highly respect DS's posts! I just hope that the proxy vote doesn't mean that I have to mail in my green card!! LOL
Hey Patch - I hope you didn't wind up getting spanked again today with BXLT.
What a bait and switch!!
Hey aa - I too placed lynx on ignore. As I have consistently posted, the best 2 contributors to this mb are Mike & Dividendseeker!! JMHO
I sincerely miss the clever humor you used to include in your posts. Hopefully it's not a health related issue, and that you have successfully completed your MBA.
What was the title/essence of your dissertation???
Re: STJ - OUCH!!! I'm still holding FOLD & EBIO. Here's a joke for you to send to your parents!!
The longer you've been together, the funnier this becomes!
An elderly couple were at home watching TV.
Doug had the remote and was switching back and forth between a fishing channel and the porn channel.
Sally became more and more annoyed and finally said,
"For God's sake, Doug... leave it on the porn channel... you know how to fish!"
I bet you didn't see that coming...
Hey Patch - Been watching and analyzing BXLT since you posted it. I can't see the rationale behind you stating that "the probability for acceptance of an offer has increased."
Do you still feel the same or have you changed your perception??
Hey ayla & jr - I have been faced with this exact situation very often, over the past 40 years. And my mantra has always been - It never hurts to take profits!! However, I don't do it in a binary approach (unless my position profit is the result of a buyout). I take profits and then split my interest level into a core holding and then convert the portion I took the profits on to a trading holding.
I have posted my opinion on both this mb & DEPO's mb - this is currently a "mess", and whether it's resolved via a proxy fight OR in the courts, with or without a CVR, I still don't see this "mess" being resolved until early 2016.
I remain ultra long, independent of all the inconsistent speculation that has been posted on this mb, since I sincerely believe HZNP will do fine with or without DEPO.
Please pay particular attention to Mike's & Dividendseeker's posts. I have a great respect for them!!
Many stocks are a lot cheaper now! LOL

"I was faced with selling my hznp in the upper 30s for a huge short term gain and corresponding 400k tax payment or holding on til early October for the long term gain tax savings of 200k. Joke was on me because at these prices I'd have been better off taking the short term gain. 39.49 is a long way from where we are now, especially with the markets being very jittery. Maybe we'll surpass that price but it will take a continued string of good news, especially closure one way or the other of the depo saga. I'd be willing to bet out highs are in for awhile. "
Hey Silver - I agree with you 100%. FWIW - TTPH dropping faster than CEMP, probably because the uncertainty of the timing of releasing their trial data. TTPH will drop below the last SPO price before things get better. JMHO
My buy orders are in for both CEMP & TTPH and sitting ready for another "flash crash".
GL2A CEMP & TTPH longs
True, true, true - and that's exactly why I took my measly profits and ran for the hills. You know my mantra, it never hurts to take profits!!
More recently, I went to 50% cash as of the end of June.
But I certainly didn't expect down day today.......... oh well!!
When we had the discussion about oil in Feb, I bot and traded LINE, EVEP & BBEP for a quick $110K gain. I'm counting my lucky stars and staying away from energy. LOL
