    All cash for a while....

Of course its about liquidity, which is great for FUTURE corporate profits! You do realize that it takes time to get that $$ into circulation, right? They are planting the seeds to future growth. And guess what, jobs are being created, so don't even go there, 175k new jobs last month. Is it a great number? Certainly not, however, the UR is down to 7.6% vs. its double digit #s 4 years ago. These things take time to fix themselves, and it really doesn't matter who is in the office, nobody else would have done any better. But that's besides the point, my point is that we went from 'going to zero' to all time highs in 4 years. Who predicted that in March 2009? Personally, I thought it would take 5 years, I admit I was wrong, the market recovered faster than I originally thought, no complaints here!

OK, you're the boss of your $$, if you can't sleep well at night invested in the stock market you shouldn't be invested at all. I remain very long stocks...

I believe $10.50 by November 1st is a reasonable FMV for this fund.

Thanks for this, but it doesn't say anything about switching over to coal anywhere. I sure some did, or may be in the process, but I don't see this having a drastic effect on CHK share price. This winter NG will touch $5+ if we have the same winter as last season, and if it gets any colder than last winter there will be a shortage of NG and $6+ will be seen next March.

It's in the 90's today, 98 for high, supposed to get to 100 later this week, in Denver??? Guess nobody noticed, AC's are sucking up NG though as I type and for some odd reason CHK is trading down??? Its gonna be a hot summer...

Why do you think the market is so uncertain? Are you fearful? That should scream 'buying opportunity' in your head then. I mean, seriously, when was the last time everyone 'knew' the market was going to 'tank' and it did? Think about that for a minute. Maybe you have a nice nest egg already, maybe then consider putting just 25% into the market.

Anyway, my point is if so many issue are 'known' yet corporations are continuing to make record profits, is that a bad sign for corporations? What do the employment numbers really have to do with the price of a stock? Not much really. Good luck with your investments.

    PTTRX vs BOND

hahahahahha, you told us in March how this bond fund would be up 10% in 2013, and now you are telling it it was obvious to take profits??? Its down since you made that call. Here is the link to your post on the thread 'pttrx reeks':

Are you kidding me? Everybody is screaming about all the 'problems' we have going on right now. Like, the fed QE program, and how 'tapering' might start, but maybe not... and inflation, ya, that's a big one for what, 5 years now? Remember 2007 how inflation would make the dollar worthless in a few years and gold would be $7000? Oh, how about the Euro-zone problems, which has hardly anything to do with American companies. Or that China grow has 'slowed' to 8%??? Whoa, get out the horse and ride off into the sunset on those fears! Right??

You see, when there is fear, there is opportunity. Once the market become euphoric, then its time to get out. I don't see euphoria occurring for quite some time, so buy the pullbacks if you have the cash. But I would definitely reduce bond exposure, unless you are OK with flat at best returns (after adding back the dividends) and then losing money overall when you consider inflation.

    Giddy-up!

I agree and I bought in right after the divy cut, I saw it as a long term buying opportunity. If you don't like CTL, which I cant understand why you wouldn't, I would take T over VZ since T has not appreciated as much as VZ for several years now, yet it has a higher yield. I'm thinking that T will outperform VZ over the next year. I am long T 2000 shares since the lows 20's in 2009, so I'm a little biased, buy my comments are based on facts.

A correction in the stock market was not only expected, but welcomed. Things don't go straight up, and the S&P was up 20% at its high this year. The S&P might fall some more, perhaps give back up to 10% of its gains for the year, before resuming it move upward. PTTRX is not doing well at all, including dividends. That simply cannot be denied...

Thus, the buying opportunity, as you say, is with the S&P, not PTTRX. That has been the bread winner since March 2009. That also cannot be denied...

Dont worry about time frames, just get long this stock before you miss out on the several 100 % gains...

I'd say that you've got a good 12 months of bull markets ahead of you, quite possibly 18. That's not to say their won't be pullbacks along the way, but DoW 17K+ is completely reasonable before its all over. QE is not scheduled to end until the end of 2014, or once the unemployment rates gets below 6.5%, so don't expect a QE change prior to that occurring. That's a ways away still, I say June 2014 at the earliest. At that point rates could start to rise faster and at some point, would create a market sell off. Rising interest rates are not bad for the stock market unless they get so high that both savers and investors would take money out of the market in order to get a high interest rate in a savings account. You know, the risk reward thing. Why try for 7% annualized gains in the market when you can get 7% in a high yield savings account...

Wasn't inflation supposed to hit 2 years ago and the dollar was going to be worth zero by now?

I hope they do not ramp up production too much, at least until LNG is exported starting in 2015, because that would be counterproductive to the stock price. Less NG in storage results in higher prices and thus higher stock price. Coal fire plants will continue to be phased out as their useful life ends and environmental regulations increase the cost of upgrading them, clean NG will be the fuel of choice for the next 30 years while we perfect the technology of and eventually switch to non fossil fuels in the US. We need a bridge fuel to get there and clean NG is it!

I really never thought much of TA, I mean seriously, can I have one name of a 'TA expert' that called the market hitting 15000 within 4 years back in 2009? Heck, how about 6 months ago even? You never hear about these TA experts, because there are none. TA is always best in hindsight, at least thats my experience. I can point to several fundamentalists that said 15000 was a sure thing back in 2010. How about you, any luck with TA?
