Jack, assuming your premise of; no foreseeable need for Fed rate increase. Why then do we continue to see a sell of in mREITS-including WMC which s down $0.11 the day before a large divvy x-date? I know that you mentioned lack of knowledge in the market but, is the market really that misinformed or could it be simply that the market is looking well into the future and pricing these mREIT's on future expectations.
All I can gleam is that the interest rate thing has hit all mREITs and OCN is being hit again by lawsuits. We may being associated with that again. Similar to baby being thrown out with the bath water.
Clrodrick, just too many posters with a chip on their shoulders-although I suspect it to one or two idiots positing under different names. Just stopped by as I own a lot of HLSS but, I won't be back as there are no signs of intelligent life here.
Agree, but what the heck has driven this so low. It must be oil and gas pricing combined with interest rate fears as I am seeing a large sell of in MLP,s REITS and mREITS.
Thanks Bob, That is kind of what I've been doing lately. Only problem I have is everything I own is down so much that they are are steals IMHO at these prices. Also, about 1/3 of them go x-date on the 26th so I have to wait that out. I will check the yields again and try moving more up the yield ladder.
I received my divvy at $1.00 per share US. I read a recent post-which I can not find now-on some of the divvy's that some others you received which was higher. If you could please indicate your return and on the institution used, it would be helpful for me in my future trading. My thanks in advance.
Yea, I guess I have to purchase more myself. Yike, I just noticed almost out of cash. I got to find something to sell which in this market is going to be difficult.
Agree about the long term hold. Even though I am so underwater it may be years before I see the surface I still believe in the fundamentals and continue to hold on to my position for this roller coaster ride.
Buster, one of the few times I agree with you: "ridiculously undervalued stock." I guess we just have to hunker in and wait it out. Crazy market. Love the divvy. Two payments and I am even if no pps appreciation occurs. IMHO it eventually will recover to at least the 10% divvy level.
Jack, gracie and other posters on this exceptional board my extended thanks. Your excellent posts and retorts have kept me in this game and saved me from a "premature extraction." :-)
IMHO, Jack kind of wrapped it up when he indicated the Fed is playing a game trying to scare the retail investor into thinking big rate increase is around the corner so we are seeing a sell off in everything connected with mReits because of that belief. I hold a fair amount of HLSS and that is getting plastered also. Guilt by association.
jbc, play nice. Some of these folks do not really understand MLP's. As you know they are a different animal than regular stocks. Why they post here I don't know. Maybe just out of interest but, I sure hope they are not investing here.
da bear :-)
two, we need something as this is painful. Oil pricing seems to be the catalyst this time. Everyone forgets these folks are well hedge so I guess we just hunker down and wait.
I see a number of the posters here have jumped in with big purchases. Is the general feeling that we will experience a nice bounce upon divvy announcement? So far any divvy run up seems to have been muted for some reason.
