youfool, As I read more and more post I see a conspiracy arising to discredit and silence one of the greatest posters and investment minds of modern time. I am sure if you ask him that he will tell you it is so. That is, if he has not done it already. Are you not aware of, heard of or at least read from his post the many and mighty investment decisions and especially the new ideas, that have rumbled through his brain, into his fingers and onto the screen to educated, inform, teach and enrich you unfortunate mortals. Again, if you don't believe me a simply traveling poster. Then you should ask slick, as I am sure he will come down from the throne that he sits upon in his mind and tell you about it.
fan, It appears you folks are roasting old slick with his own words. Shame on you; his memory just may be fading. You are making that old boy look like he is loosing it and apparently has a problem with the truth. . I would say that is not a good thing for a poster who wants to be taken seriously. You folks are going to get it to the point that nobody will pay his post any mind. He will then have to change his ID and apparently no one wants him here posting under another ID. So I for one defend his right to post all the rubbish and untruths he wants.
fiserman, you are holding old slicks private parts to the fire. Sometimes he says things in the heat of the moment and then forgets them. I can understand the exchange of thoughts and ideas but, I don't understand consistent bashers and why they do it unless, realistically they are shorting the stock or are sadist
Missed the pullback myself but, did buy just south of $9. I like the nice yield and it was a little diversification from the numerous energy MLP's I currently hold. I am purely an income investor and look at any price appreciation as a bonus. Unfortunately, the energy sector has taken such a butt kicking that there has not really been any bonus's to worry about.
Yep, even I who hold many shares of MLP's occasionally call distributions divvy's; which technically they are not. MLP accounting is somewhat different than GAPP accounting.
Seems like Mr. Market disagrees with you. IMHO you are correct but, recent pricing does not reflect that. Divvy seems secure and that alone warrants a $10 pps.
OK folks, I am happy about finally some respect but ,why this sudden rise. Granted oil up a little-very little-and there is some hope in good news from OPEC's meeting but this seems to be a bigger and broader push than those item could generate. Of course it could be the sector is so beaten down that MLP's look like bargains at these prices. What say you?
gumby, You are not alone. This illogical bs pricing in MLP's in general-hedged or non hedged-is testing the staying ability many longs.
tiglet, Generally you will find the most prolific basher is nothing but want-a-be who has no skin in the game and usually possess a sick sadistic temperament.
I think someone already posted that the decline we saw late today way mostly due to establishing of a $40.25 conversion price for the KMI shares.
bob, where did you get the $0.025 ARCP figure. I have been all over that board and not heard that. My best guess is you took the $12 or $20M figures I heard mentioned and divided by the shares outstanding. Again, this is just a wag on my part..
Very true, I know it is a PITA to fill out the paperwork but, those who do usually find it beatifical as so many don't and their funds get distributed to the ones who did.
guy, I agree this sell-off is more than just oil related. It seems like there was total panic in the marketplace. Never since the financial crisis in 208 have I seen a total sector sell off so fast. You know of course that pure gas play like MEMP who is well hedged to 2019 has been driven below $16 yet pays 13+%. No rationality there. One thing this sell off has really reinforced in me is the power of emotion in the marketplace. Also, that sometimes I get too close to a stock and really know it well-maybe too well-that I don't get caught up in the sell off mode and eventually suffer for it later. Hopefully, thinking rationally will pay off but so far it has hurt me.
Wondering the same thing myself. Oil up a little but, IMHO more-so related to upcoming OPEC meting.
