    EXXI Stock Price Movement

Correlated well with disasters. A few blips up but mostly PLUNGE. 60% in a 3 month period has to be perhaps the worse performance in a terrible sector.

NG is holding in well and once we exit the shoulder season, we should see prices up. So 30% of the production isn't suffering. I expect they will be cutting expenses to the bone along with a re-finance of the high cost debt. Smith told me the refinace will save at least $20 million a year in interest costs. Hopefully some further info from earnings. Schiller knows he has to deliver good news.

Seems insiders still were buying recently. They stand to loss even more now.

There is no way to know this but today's sell off has all the signs of a selling climax because of the very high volume. It is almost like some people final threw in the towel on this. We won't know that for a few days but let's hope we see a finish well off the lows. The selling in energy looks almost like what we saw in 2008, even with crude oil where it is, this seems totally out of proportion. Gas is holding in and should see higher in a month or so, so not all production is suffering price weakness.

John Schiller is the problem .

The simple fact is, the man made a very poorly timed acquisition, for which the stockholders are now suffering horribly. The IR department is still maintaining they have a plan to deal with the debt, which is BS. I call Schiller, of course could not get through, yet he is out there at the conferences talking left and right to people that don't own the shares, as if it will do any good. The man is an overpaid buffoon. I would like him out and a CEO with some financial acumen in place of him.

Western Zagros Resources just notified Kurdish authorities it is a commercial field. I can't post the link but you can read it on Stockhouse website under this headline:

WesternZagros Resources (V.WZR) reaches major exploration milestone at Kurdamir Block

WesternZagros Resources (TSX: V.WZR, Stock Forum) made another major step in its journey to become a producer on the Kurdamir Block located in the Kurdistan region of Iraq when the company announced today that it had submitted a Declaration of Commercial Discovery (“DoC”) to the Kurdistan Regional Government (“KRG”) for the oil and gas discovery in the joint-owned Kurdamir Block.

According to the news release, the DoC submission was accompanied by an Appraisal Report, covering the work carried out during an exploration and appraisal program on the Kurdamir field commenced in 2009 and completed in May 2014.

The company, which holds a 40% working interest in the block along with Talisman Energy (TSX: TLM, Stock Forum) owning another 40% and KRG holding the remaining 20%, stated that positive results from the Kurdamir-2 EWT were a major factor in advancing the DoC.

Company CEO, Simon Hatfield, commented on the event, “This is a long anticipated, important milestone for WesternZagros as well as the Kurdistan Region. We estimate the Kurdamir block to hold nearly 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) of contingent resources on a mean basis.”

He went on, “In addition, the three stacked reservoirs in Kurdamir hold significant upside potential, of an additional estimated 1.6 billion BOE of prospective resources on a mean basis.”

Then concluded, “Declaring Kurdamir as a commercial discovery is another key step as we continue our evolution from an explorer to a producer and towards generating cash flow.”

This is a stupid post. There are a lot of stocks that traded extremely low values in 2009. Apple traded $11,
Priceline $47(Now $1270). Many, many more examples. Forced selling created many low prices. Past price has no relation to what price a stock can trade at in the future, it is the business operation that matters.

I want to double my position, but I am not sure the next day or two will mark the bottom. Looking at the last couple of selloffs, the turn higher was a process taking at least a couple of weeks sometimes a little longer. Here is an interesting situation which could mean something important...The stock has been in a downtrend channel since it topped out in 2012, we broke the channel(bottom) on this selloff. Could mean the next stock rally will break this downtrend(top channel trendline) ON THE NEXT RALLY PHASE. Question is at what price this bottoms out.

It doesn't look like any volume going down. Looks like algos. I haven't seen a trade for the last 15 minutes. Last trade($19.06) was for 100 shares.

How, year over year, the natural gas price is higher. The commodity price has nothing to do with the stock performance over this past year. The stock is performing badly because of Schiller and cronies, they have been terrible. How else can you explain the under performance in this stock market.

  • Not out of the question given what is going on. A fair amount of resistance slightly above $11. This is especially true if we finish the week above this level.

The man should be stripped of his title as "Entrepreneur of the Year"(per website). I like the Toad title you have given.......he is now: TOAD OF THE YEAR. The higher the stock market goes, the worse he looks..
