I suspect that his opinions are safe as long as they are said in good faith and as his opinion and not as a paid shill. What he wrote was true as of 1:15 PM but several hours later he was obviously wrong. Will he write a retraction of any type, probably not, as he will move on or find something else to complain is wrong with Kerx. The only ting that will save his reputation as far as I am concerned, would be to say, he was wrong re: kerx, and that isn't happening. Legally the first amendment is good for us all even now with what is water under the bridge. The Keryx Board have bigger problems and that will be in dealing with Baupost and any group he might form that could ultimately control the voting and stocks future. If remuneration package b Board gets approved than you can bet it did so with Baupost's approval. I bet whatever future BO deal is coming has already been discused, timed out and put in motion. If Baupost wins, Jeff wins, and that includes all the longs.

  • After hours trading $16.01. I believe the $16 options are in play.

We are good until 2026 for one patent and many others end in 2024 and one in 2017. No generics until after April 21, 2026.

And last patent expires April 21, 2026. No one is making a generic of this for a long time. Firms on sideline will be talking BO with Kerx and with Baupost who could organize a Change in the Board whenever they want. And who said Seth was going to lose money on Kerx. He is going to make one of his biggest killings ranking him right up there with Buffet who he is often compared too.

Poop for Brains, I have missed your wit, knowledge and even some of your perversions , which would put you on Freud's coach for years. I hope MGM kept some of his shares but he panicked when it was in free fall. I cannot blame him as he had quite a bit of it in his retirement account. I miss him too as he was bright, and loyal.

I have said for a long time, and please reread my posts, IcyVermin, SpillVermin, AFVermin and MupsVermin, that this drug was different enough to definitively receive the NCE status. One of AFVermin's earliest posts indicated why this drug would never be granted the NCE status, I thought differently. As I have said more than once when this drug was developed by Panion, the two developers wrote rather extensively on how this drug was so different than anything that was OTC. My Late brother, who was a biochemist at a Ivy University for the Medical School and Dental School, read the data in some detail. He said, "Jeff you have a rare winner." Cheap to make, scientifically unique, and no dangerous side effects." So when all looked so low from the P disaster, I bought more, My sons" bought more and even my son in law, did anti in. It has always been about the widget. I am no great investor and I have learned quite a bit from this Board and continually questioning my financial adviser about Kerx. He I might add, he told me never to invest in any biotech, as they invariably lose money. All the nay-sayers have lied and continually said that Kerx will lose your money, sell now and you longs are so dumb. I am enjoying this moment because I know that financially we will see bigger dividends than we imagined. The shorts have no where to go and all they can say have been sworn to in AFVermin's words. Mr. AFVermin, who I believe reads these Boards, be a man, and write "I was wrong." I do not think you have the "cahones" for that! "Revenge is a dish best served cold." VerminBoys the Polar Vortex is here for you! For my friends be patient and remember when we meet the first round is on me: )

    KERX, buy zone ~ $9.00 / $9.50 range

I promise that if given the chance I will certainly buy at $9. Heck I will buy at $2! Unfortunately there is little chance for this to occur as stock is certainly going to try to bust $16 by Friday and has a future more closely aligned with $20's then $'s under $10. Do you really think that the large institutional holders who now own 89% of Kerx agree with you? This ownership has risen from 65% to now just under 90% because they believe stock is overbought. Have fun selling shares to yourself! With beliefs like this Mr. JunkinHand, you will soon be in the poorhouse!

I was lucky to know a man Mr. Sterling. He was a broker and investor for individuals with lots of money. He was actually the mayor of the Village for a time too. In the early seventies when the market fluctuated from time to time he was often interviewed because he had been around during the disaster of October 1929. He always said, and told me many times, that if you want to be an investor and make real money, you have to be patient. Know where your money is and be confident with those investments. I like most of us have taken a beating over the last week bu I have remained steadfast in my overall belief in where my money is. It's funny that I have more money in other investments, but the one I am truly confident in is little ole Keryx. Some big money also seems to agree with all the logs who have certainly endured barbs and insults from some of the shills who use this Board to just hear themselves aggravate others. PoorVermin is the worst of the lots because it appears he is actually rooting for this great Country to fail. PoorVermin don't concern yourself as the USA is too big to fail and you are not. Friends, this drug without a real name works. Listen to the commercials on TV for so many drugs they hawk. They sound awful and also so dangerous. The commercial for Ferric Citrate will be, "some patients complained of constipation and a small minority had dark stools." When a doctor prescribes a drug he always would hope that this is the worst complication he might face. Oh, I did forget that doctors must monitor to make sure that there is no iron overload especially if you are dumb enough to be giving IV iron with Ferric Citrate. Again leave CNBC and Bloomberg to their own fears and you sit back and relax in the knowledge that you are invested in a winner. Have a good night.

IcyBrainedVermin, Is it getting real cold in the Franklin, Indiana trailer park where you live? No one owns upwards of 21 % of a company as a hedge. Baupost is putting themselves in a position where they can dictate terms of a BO and to whom. I expect that they will eventually own 25% of the company and with one or two other major share holders be controlling "partners" and eventually telling the Keryx Board whom they should sell to and for what price. When yo own so much of a company you know everything about that company and also who is interested in buying Keryx. King Saul is not about to lose tens of millions of dollars. You on the other hand will be losing your shirt, pants, (a scary thought), and perhaps your trailer. If you had to believe in someone who would it be, King Saul or IceVermin?

The NCE may occur Friday or after that too. The FDA is not bound to grant it on Friday. I personally believe as explained by Panion is the development of this unique Ferric Citrate, that it is in point of fact an NCE. Interestingly this NCE status was granted to the wildly successful Lorvaza which is not just a fish oil. We will find out eventually.

Del Rio, I will make it a point to visit Del Rio and make you break open a bottle of Dom Perigon after Keryx and Ferric Citrate, which will someday get a name, reward the faith we have had during this interesting ride. Most biotechs' by their nature never succeed and never have a drug that gets FDA approval. We met that hurdle. Most biotechs' never get secure patents, we have succeed. Most biotechs' do not have a drug with so few side effects, we do! Few biotechs' have an investor with such unique credentials own 21% of the company, we do! What we need to do is what we have done and that is just hold and be patient. There is a market for this drug and there is a need for this drug. The fact that it has been shorted so heavily helps explain some of its volatility. I assure you the shorts have never expected that it would gain FDA approval and they have covered where they could and made lots of money of the volatility. Eventually we will have our chance and Keryx will do what Mr. Bentsur said before the P disaster."We expect that at some point that we will entertain offers." We are nearing the finish line and hanging around has certainly been an adventure. I have made friends on this Board and been surprised by others actions. I have seen immaturity and sadly racism and sexism. Now I hope to see what has made America so great a country and that is when the financial system actually rewards peoples faith in a product or company. I am looking forward to that drink with you and all the other longs who have so persevered.

If you assume as I do that SK is behind this purchase then you may be seeing Baupost move up to the 25% ownership of Keryx. He my be orchestrating a private takeover of Keryx or the BO to one of the many Big Pharma companies he has deals with. This is a clear indication that a BO may be on the short term horizon.

I believe in this stock more than ever and I guess Baupost and others do too. As for you guys .... you are ACES! I do miss Poop for Brains humor and I like MGM and hope he buys back in. As for Hugo ... happy he is on my side because Mr. C can be caustic to say the least. Hugo has certainly been on the Kerx site and stock for as long as I can remember. This stock has lots of places to go and they are all UP!

I have tried to answer this post on ebola earlier today but the system prevented it. Ebola is a serious virus but not one that is reaching a pandemic proportion. The rush to find cures by companies is very premature. Certainly the government dollars to stimulate research is great but research takes time. Some of theses cures have never been tried in humans and and long term effects are unknown. It is also medically ethically, and morally to used new drugs on humans first. It is bad medicine and dangerous. All efforts must be made to contain the spread of the disease in the countries where they are. By containment we will gain more time and will then have better research products that can possibility help cue individuals. The development of serums and vaccines that might prevent Ebola virus contamination is a long way away. Using present anti viral techniques, blood transfusions with weakened or attenuated virus may be available sooner. as for Ebola scientific companies it is a read guessing game. I suspect 95% will not have viable treatments and finding the few that may be on the right path is just a lucky guessing game. If the virus mutates into some more virulent then added dollars will be needed to assist promising research. The CDC is more that capable in situations such as these.

I tend to agree with you but there has recently been a fine given to a fund for violation of SEC rules in relation to Keryx. If the SEC is eager to push this button they might wish to utilize small investors complaints. The AG of NY and the AG's of other States have also received complaints and they as a group may react quicker to the small investors concerns. They do get elected and do love the press. It is an election year and nothing surprises me more than what is said and what can happen in an election year Finally I assure you that nobody from the biggest hedge fund to the smallest investor wants to think someone is requesting an investigation for how you or your company conducts business. Most likely I am peeing in the ocean but like a lottery ticket, "you never know."
