I don't understand why these guys continue to spout off the cuff remarks when they know it can affect the market. Just shut up.
When your stock will not react well to rising markets...what do you think is going to happen in falling markets? This has been going on with Ford since 2011.
You can talk dividend all you want....you are getting beat up on stock price action.
Nice company...horrific stock. It's amazing that those of us who have been watching and witnessing Ford stock for the past 5 years can't get thru to a lot here. The company is great. The stock stinks. It happens from time to time.
Oh Moe, the stock price is nowhere near what you expected from your posts for the past 4-5 years. If someone had suggested to you the Dow would be at 18K in 2011 and Ford stock stuck under 15...you would have dismissed the prediction as beyond ridiculous.
Gotta love these posters with zero posting history in Ford claiming their cost basis is $6.00. People didn't just stumble into Ford stock after it collapsed. If they were buying under $5, they have likely been involved in automotive stocks before. I guess you never owned GMBpre bankruptcy? Never owned a parts maker? Never owned Ford pre collapse? Just decided to buy a penny stock in what was at the time the most in danger sector in the world. Totally believable.
Gotta love these people that past post. Why didn't you make this post when the stock was actually at 108?
The only thing that happens is you are giving up the dividend gain in stock price decline. I know it's only on paper...but it's a stupid argument
Sell it. Buy Facebook. People love to tout the dividend of Ford in the face of the stock losing value. Dumber than dumb. Buy a stock that at the very least reacts well to market surges and earnings.
From buy to sell? Suspicious and not credible. Something tells me they decided to go short a week ago and the losses are piling up. This was their only alternative..short of liquidating the position.
When I told the Enterprise rep., the response was that they hear that a lot but this is how it is supposed to perform. My jaw dropped to the floor. I love Ford products but someone royally screwed up the engineering to make user experience a secondary priority..
Absolute WORST transmission I have ever encountered. Quivers, jerky, sputters on initial gas like I have never seen in my life on a vehicle. This is from someone who has only owned Ford vehicles. I cannot express how bad that transmission is. Ford can couch it all they want with computer tweaks, gas saving reasons, etc---this was by far the worst trans I have ever encountered. Never again. I have always pushed American made vehicles. This is the only time I would ever tell someone look elsewhere.
Ford Mustang owner for life--
It's not concerning that Apple has been dropping but rather it's been dropping as the averages have made huge gains in the past week. Dow red, apple red is not big deal. Dow bright green, Apple red is a big deal.
That is the problem. Not many can stomach waiting for that 1 day where the stock could jump 12 points or lose 15 points depending on what guidance says on earnings day. Sure you can wait and watch as the market rises and Apple doesn't participate...but then if it disappoints on numbers, not only have you not been gaining ground on market moves higher, you now get trounced on earnings day.
Getting time to move on. I have too much vested in this to watch an earnings day massacre of 12-15 point drop or rise. I'll gladly take the rise but this looks like everything is predicated on guidance and therefore stock goes nowhere now. I'll give it until Friday and then look for something that can at least move with rising markets. This has become the worst investment since earnings.
13 million or 13 billion...if the stock doesn't move, I can't eat. More sales means nothing to me if there isn't a corresponding move in the stock.
