I say no, since their bonuses should be based on earnings performance.
Anybody in small business will tell ya, they don't like this company, put your finger and thumb together is the reaction I have seen and heard...I stopped posted there since they never published my posts, and I usually did so because I was wowed....I have no doubt this will be a 1$ stock in the future.
Terrible post after a secondary offering, have seen much worse after other offerings. I kinda think the entry point is not the offering but the drop after it for big players to really enter into the stock. Every mutual fund will need to add this co. to its list if it succeeds. That is alot of demand and why stockst trade above $500 these days.
I think you will see some upgrades coming soon. I can't wait until they start reporting on their progress step by step.
Company has proven time and time again an uncanny ability to make money somehow. They could certainly perform better with little details, like cash consumption, backlog calculations, and this year's predicted late quarter sales surge that never happened, but at this point it is all about the bigger picture. GTAT is trying to be the Walter White of sapphire. Apple had samples of their stuff I'm sure, enough said. Sapphire predictions originated via MIT rather than a pretzel cart salesman. That is the bigger picture folks.
Yeah, the offering has depressed the stock price since the street knew the offering was going to be in the 8s, so why buy at mid 9? My little concern is how management predicted a boatload of what I understood were non sapphire orders to come in the back half of the year at a prior conference call. These orders never materalized, and Apple saved them.
Company has done well to avoid bankruptcy when solar was down and made a billion diversifying. This time they jumped the shark again and landed on Pamela Anderson of Bay Watch. Pretty amazing how this company jumps the shark, but his time they landed on Apple not Chinese manufacturers.
Nope, we want 1-12, 10-20 cents, that kinda thing so we have growth premium. $1 in earnings is too cyclically thinking, although we all know when solar turns around this could be biggy big with a potential spin off in the future.
They could now go from1 penny to 2 in earnings and get a growth value premium. That is what has gotta #$%$ the naysayers who continue to see it as a cyclical co.reliant on solar. I think we will see this kind ofnreaction from analysts still digesting the news.
I wish there were some kind of tool for small investors to predict the price increase by the normal entry point $dollar accumulation for new mutual fund buyers. Contrary to what it is stated, there are no major mutual fund cos, invested in this company from what I have seen from the list of major holders. Can't wait to see what would happen if Fidelity got really involved in the stock.
That's how I would describe the Apple news. Wow, this company has jumped the shark into the arms of Pamela Anderson. Congrats to them. Bets were against them that they could shift gears again and make money.
This announcement is the definition of "game changer" and GTAT has traditionally been on the list of most hated stocks with the most recent short interest at over 30% of the float. I bought at 7 (price of last company buyback) and rode her down to 3 without a day of profit since I bought. I attribute alot of this change to short activity, and these fellas will need to get out now imo as the stock has moved upward with a topping of game changing news w/o a big change of short interest. In other words, check the trading volume in the next couple of days. Day taders are likely to be all over this.
Outstanding volume on that call pre announcement was very high imo, I think somebody knew, there were even some reports about curious option activity about a month ago.
