A negative total return since going public years ago....management gets fat and happy running trial after trial with zero revenue, partnerships or new compounds. The "just keep believing" party is coming to a rapid end with the dumb money phenomenon exiting the building.....investors in the firm are going to lose everything. I expect a casual mention that the application has been rejected any day now....perhaps a post close Friday release going into the long weekend?
Can you imagine trying to raise more money after the FDA sends back the Firdapse application for a "tune-up"? Bwahahaha....amazingly, some idiot investors actually still believe in the con men running this firm.
Cindi....when you talk about greed are you aware that Jacobus increased the cost of Dapsone by almost 500%, thus bringing the cost of a decades old compound to over $1200 per year? Are you aware that Jacobus has revenues well in excess of $30 million per annum for hawking ancient/forgotten compounds with massive profit margins? Give the "greed" story a rest....its called pharma economics....Catalyst might be non-transparent and self-dealing, by Jacobus is far from Robin Hood.
Lemme guess....CPRX needs another trial of undetermined length to really isolate the safety profile of the compound....in other words, keep sending CPRX money and they'll get back to you sometime in the future.
Even more amazing is that CPRX was valued at over $400 million during the bio bubble....crazy.
This is all part of CPRX's true business model....run trials, trials and more trials all financed by dumb money who think they have found the next BioMarin. All the while, management earns a very lucrative annual income so long as the carrot and stick model keeps investors believing the hype.
What a joke! Not a peep about the FDA Firdapse release!
Why do you think the pumping investment banks (SunTrust, Piper, Roth) have been so quiet....they know the environment and they know Catalyst cant line up a partner given their toxic commercial model. 60 days for an application acceptance decision.....if the FDA truly trusted Pat and the gang, do you think this much time would have elapsed?
You have lost a boatload on this stock, haven't you? The clock is ticking.....the FDA waiting until the 11th hour must have you sweating bullets....no doubt the FDA will request more data for a complete application or reject it outright. The political class is all over the FDA approval process and pricing.....they aren't going to open the door to scrutiny by approving yet another price gouging loophole drug. Apparently you are too stupid to see the writing on the wall.
You forgot another attribute....has an uncanny ability to sniff out biotech BS and make accurate stock projections while the sheep around him bah with approval as they get fleeced.
Party on Pat and Steve, party on! What possibly could these used car salesmen be presenting this time? Notification of their "intent" to cure cancer? Notice, not a single clinical, partnership or revenue model update....the spin continues and Wall Street has turned their backs on these idiots, except for the 3rd tier banks who will issue more stock to keep these guys employed.
As they have done for years and years and years.....how's that investment working out with new 52 week lows being made every day?
The model is broken, period. There is nowhere near the number of patients in existence projected by Catalyst and there is no way that Catalyst will be able to charge a massive premium price for this drug. I am entirely confident that CPRX is being shopped rather unsuccessfully behind the scenes....this will end ugly for shareholders. Drip, drip, drip.
So a 450% rally in 5 months.....get on it!!!! CPRX will trade at $8/share when Pat is forced to do a 10:1 reverse split after Firdapse flops.
With the stock making 52 week lows, I guess these pumpers (jersey, hrcri, guw1, etc) all must got in their time machines and went back to sell at the top, right? Bwahahaha!
Probably not....you actually must have marketable products to get called before Congress. Good luck rare disease drug companies after this media circus.....your 15 minutes of fame (and existence) is up!
