the companies the you "like" SPEND money to advertise. Their ads, which are tailored to specifically to you, based on your information, come through your news feed. This is a very specific type of advertising meant to appeal to the consumer rather than annoy them. Most people can't wrap their heads around the idea that advertising can be non-intrusive and not annoying, because it has never been done like this before
I don't need to block ads on Facebook because they are from things I "like" durrrrr. How hard is this concept to get. That you can actually like, "like" an ad. But the best thing is that it is so genius that idiots can't even wrap their heads around the concept!! how can you like an ad? Easy, if you like the product. Then ads cease to be annoying as traditionally presented randomly and untargeted.
Yes, I could have... ha, that's funny. I'm sure Lamborghini sales had less to do with improvements to the vehicle and more to do with other factors, such as price and expense to maintain. Obviously FB is not a luxury item. But my point is that the experience is constantly improving and the advertising is so integrated and seamless that it doesn't even feel like advertising, it pretty much just blends in with all of the interesting things that your friends post. This is because you choose what you like. I'm sure the improved news feed will make the experience that much better.
So when Lamborgini rolls out a new vehicle is is because the old one "ISN'T working"? No it's because the new one is better and improved!! Which means FB is getting better, of course.
very risky. you saw what even a small amount of news can to to this stock ?
ok, then what's your explanation for two days ago when the market was down the most since novemeber and FB was green?
Hardly... the are transparent and precise. you only get ads for things you "like" which means you are actually interested in the items or offers. So you are kept informed about the things you are interested in, and are the first to know when a new product is released. IF YOU USED FB YOU WOULD KNOW THIS LOL!!!
Great graph search was turn on in my FB account today!!! Now I can search for various things that my friends like to do, where the like to go, where they like to shop, and if I want to buy them a gift I will surely stop here first before I purchase, and hopefully I will just be able to purchase from here. I can also find out what similar friends like even if they do not know each other and possibly cross reference them for even better suggestions!!! The possibilities are limitless and I can only get this sort of information on FB because they have invested years in building and developing deep individual profiles!!! REVOLUTIONARY!!!!
I actually "like" them. Seriously I do because I have chosen the products and services I like, and these are the only items for which I receive ads. It really is a revolution in Advertising because never in my life have I only received ads for products that I am atually interested in. It is truly amazing. Does anyone agree? You do know how facebook works right?

Or think of it this way... this is how kid's and the younger generation will comunicate, and what COMPUTING is going to become for them. Everything is going online and this is just the beginning.
Because facebook keeps track of all of your friends birthdays and special events, and also knows what they "LIKE", this means that when your friends birthdays or holiday events come up not only do you know they are happening you can get them a gift or bring something that they will actually "LIKE". And you can do this from your computer the same as you would if you were ordering from Amazon, etc. WITH ONLY A FEW CLICKS. And when your birthday, or a holiday event comes up, you may actually get some gifts you "LIKE". I don't like crowds and shopping in stores, and I hate trying to guess what people like. Don't you?
