Well the street made a technical call and it is playing out as scripted so far.
Avi on the most recent conference call...turning point...sales.
Set up to test and possibly take out next major resistance at 1.88 to 2.10.
That and the inflection statement by Avi.
I believe that he is interested in selling the company to a larger entity but the revenues are not up to a point where it will get a decent valuation yet. IMHO, look for another acquisition to increase top-line revenues.
Some people (and most algorithms) trade on fundamentals and technical assessments. The PR from the Street today appears accurate from that perspective. No mention of the fact that GIG is sitting on patents and products that use entirely new materials to transmit data at higher rates and lower energy cost than anything else on the market. Would be nice to have included that but the words are probably to big and wordy. Hit the volume for today, lets see if it can go over $1.54 and sustain.
Sound quality is horrible.
Growth sounds good.
Sampling statements are encouraging.
RF revenue down slightly due to order cycle of customer evaluation. Meh, not a big slice yet but would like to see this growing not down.
Production starting on design wins from earlier this year. Good.
JDPs CFP2 based on TFPS with TIAs.---That is a key for success at GIG. Need to build confidence on this new advanced material application.
Inventory and booking building up.
Overall a good CC. The animation in Avi's voice is killed by the poor sound quality.
I agree that the self dealing by management is excessive given the stock performance since getting uplisted. I do not agree that a stock buyback would be a good use of the company's limited resources. The float is already too small to provide much liquidity which is part of the problem. Their available cash is a very good thing for purchasing goods and services if/when larger orders flow in. The amount of cash consumed since last year is actually admirable. It would be more admirable if gross revenues were increasing. Lets see how the market reacts to their first GAAP positive quarter :)
Have not had a chance to listen to the call yet. If by the consumer line you mean the 4K cameras with a GIG cog in them...I don't see those as consumer products yet. Maybe in a few years. They are really more a Pro-sumer line product. Still pretty niche. Nice for POC but not revenues. Least not yet. Just an opinion.
No dog in this fight but I knew I should have started shorting three weeks ago when I went there to buy a usb to micro usb cable and they wanted 22 bucks. Turned to my phone and found it on Amazon for 6. Would have paid 10 to have it on the spot but 22 was ridiculous. They should become a barebones u-built it computer shop IMHO. Come in talk to the staff, order the parts, come in next week and build it up. Test and leave. Need to get back to their roots IMHO.
You know it goes through sampling first.
As shareholders, we would love for the consumers of the product to just trust the specs and purchase a million units. But yeah I get your point.
It is a spambot. They hit many boards. Ignore it.
How about Q3 sales predictions? I am ready for positive earnings here. Anything less $0.03/sh GAAP is unacceptable.
Nice find. Independent group comparative test with results favoring GIG. I like that. Also like their statement: "The available selection of commercial EOM candidates for the new frontend is very limited."
Looks like a capitulation. Guessing DBSI decided to stop playing the waiting game but could be an endwaver waving the flag. Not sure. 2.6 is looking pretty good from here LOL. Glad I sold some there, wish it was more as I would be picking it back up here. Now its a waiting game. GLLs.
Old news but thanks. So who capitulated today? DBSI or an Endwaver? My guess is DBSI. Anyone else have an opinion?
