3.5 MM in revs, 2.5 MM in product costs and they owe Eisai $13.6MM? You don't need to be a financial genius to understand ARNA needs major cost reductions including selling that money-losing plant in Switzerland and about 75% of the employees. They should have done this 1-2 years ago. Time is running short, we need action!!!
I have a bad feeling that Amit will be following the BOD's failed plans. I would prefer that they all resign and let him run the company. Take a hike Harry, you were no better than Jack Thief. ARNA said nothing about anything for almost 30 minutes.
when they give a timetable, they just miss it, so it's better to say nothing, which is what they did on the call, nothing about anything.
After looking more closely, he has a few good things in his history, but I was hoping for a turnaround pro that has done a high profile deal like an AVNR sr. exec.
I see nothing new other than the CEO, no new county approvals, no news of the once daily dose...New CEO is walking into a potential home run, let's hope he cuts the burn and extends the runway out a few years...
take a look at the stock of his most recent company and get back to me. Kythera was acquired by Allergan, but that was 5 years after he left. I was hoping for someone with a track record of turning around companies and selling them. I don't want to continue owning this loser stock for another 4 years. I'll give this until early 2017 just because I'm too stubborn to sell my losers.
Amit effing Munshi, who the heck is he? Never heard of any of the #$%$ companies he worked for and the chart of his current company looks like ARNA. What a huge disappointment. Where do I go to get my $ back from Jack Lief the liar and this awful BOD. I guess they found another stooge to keep themselves employed.
yes, there are no earnings, just losses. It seems like they are cutting heads, I'm checking Linked-in and noticed a recent reduction of 10%, but not sure if they did the stated 35%. I'm not expecting much and will probably still be disappointed. ARNA execs rarely fail to disappoint, in fact they are experts in this area.
all over the news this weekend. What large pharma co would not want to own these products? Let the bidding begin!
unfortunately, nothing is being done to stop the criminal shorts, who appear to be escaping, but may have become very active again recently.
My guess is it's the hot dog vendor, but I have come to expect the worst from ARNA execs and the BOD
those numbers might be the total market value, so ACHN's FD would have to be the only viable product and take 100% market share to get to these lofty numbers. I would take 100% of either, or 50% of both. Either way, the stock price looks low relative to cash and the potential. Wet AMD and respiratory markets are many times larger, so hopefully we will hear about progress on those compounds before the end of 2016...Could be an exciting 3Q and beyond, but maybe quiet Q2.
Let's get this mess over with and just sell to the highest bidder in a public auction!
agree somewhat, tape painting losses of .05 almost every day, but also being dragged down by the biotech indices and ETF's. It's very frustrating!!! Probably a good spot to buy for a trade, assuming they have something other than, or in addition to Belviq. We need the new CEO to get on board and slash the burn.
