I was tipped off about this stock in the 2.50 range. the guy with the tip said this co. would have no competition, and should fly...so, i followed it, but being a pink sheet stock, i was nervous, the pps kept going up like crazy.... i was looking to get in, but chasing it made me hold off....when it passed 5.00, i gave up...something smelled rotten. i've been trading over 30 years, so i go a lot by instinct. the reason i stayed away, was in my mind , there are some big vending players who have established locations and control a lot of markets,,, the healthy foods is going to become more popular, especially in schools, BUT, all the other vending suppliers, just need to re stock their machines, they probably already have the distributors.... so the competition is out there....this company is small and building, certainly not worthy of such a high pps at this time....in addition, the bids and ask are all over the board...too much gamble for my taste.. some people made a bunch, and got out. cudos to them. maybe i'm wrong here, it wont be the first time...glta.
not to #$%$ anyone off, but , i;ve watched a lot of spec stocks run up on future good potential, only to fall as fast as they rose...spec buying frenzy, usually gives way to hard value and revenue...not to say that rnn wont someday be huge, but trial data isn't going to be made public until middle of 2015....what other revenue and earnings does rnn have that can sustain a high pps? this may be a long term investment , i sold too early...before the big run, but i will get back in when things settle down....glta longs.
rodney, is that really you? i was in rnn from .40, but got restless and sold my 3k at .53... feel like kicking myself...you still in vrng? i got out at 3.50 over a year ago... miss the old gang...haven't heard from bostontrade anywhere since...you in this? really sounds like your short...no offense....gltu.
high 4.37....close 3.68... this happened a short while ago, where it spiked to 3.98 on no news....??? fool me once, fool me twice....anyone have a rational explanation on this puppy?
i think your missing the point...the potential of any stock can drive up the pps...beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...but the true value of a stock is their asset value in relation to cash burn....and without a revenue producing product, everything else is pure speculation...you have to put your feelings aside, and look from the outside in, rather than the inside out. if your convinced rnn is a winner, then why worry about the pps day to day, at some point you will be rewarded. best of luck..
reasons for owning aria from others...i bought back at 2.50, after the big fall... then sold bc i thought they may go out, and broke even..been following it since, and missed the run up. back in today, bc i feel, that if asia and other parts of the world, are supporting inclusig, then the u.s. will lighten up...and find a way to work it back in..even wo the u.s. market, they still make money... real money, not potential money, like spec play stocks..i think the upside potential far out weighs the downside risk, and i'm willing to wait it out....comments?
stocks like these are driven by emotion and psychology...news driven by potential, pushes the pps up, but not sustainable, bc no real money is being produced, the sharks prey on this, and frustrates the high expectations of buyers looking for big returns. real news is when money , deals, partnerships, etc. is announced...and we , the little guys, are usually the last to know when it does happen..glty.
good post...honest and realistic, you may get a thumbs down for telling it like it is....what i think he meant, was the downside in aria is less risky than some of the others he mentioned, just guessing tho.glta.
sold my 3k pre market at .53 filled as soon as i placed the order... that could be a good sign for longs, i may wind up kicking myself, but i've gotten burned too many times looking for the pot of gold over the rainbow...will buy back in on a re tracement...glta.
holding this nearly a year now. it seems with any positive news, a quick jump, and then back down, not being able to sustain a rally,or move to a higher level for any period of time. my guess is, that until real money flows in,or a commitment from a partner, that means revenue, this will be toyed with, and frustrate us to death...comments?
i'm no guru...jmo....but, there is a book value for any stock, which applies assets , cash on hand, money owed, future revenue etc., against outstanding debt, liabilities, loans, etc. take into account , shares outstanding, and other factors, like payroll, r&d costs, legal costs, etc., and you come up with a price a stock is valued at. then, there is a perceived value. what the future holds, possible mergers, buyouts, new products into the market place, future royalties, etc. this is the tricky part.. psychology, and emotions, play a big role into moving a stock up. that's why real news, good or bad, has such a large influence on price. this is especially true for spec stocks, which are still trying to show a profit, but have potential to break out...the speculation of good things coming, usually pushes the price up... again, the emotional factor...btw, i'm long here.

not exactly...only if all the shares were sold at the same time...the company can sell any number at any given time at their discretion, and the pps can be higher or lower when they are offered..imo.
just an invested observer, not a contributor..i bought 150 shares at 5, to test the waters. i bought because, the company seemed to have potential. bio techs are risky business, more for day trading, than investments. but once in a while, one breaks out. i watch the boards to gather input, not to make a decision..i do my own d&d. i own rnn, and nuro, same deal with them too...i got hung up on the vrng board for a year, you come to know who you can trust, and those you can't... the people with numerous i.d.'s, and constant negative commentary, have no agenda in my opinion...if you bought ipci, as a quick trade, and got burnt, that's basic gambling. if you bought ipci for it's potential, than nothing has changed. whoever buys at 3 or 2 or whatever, looks to make money...it just may take longer to get back where you started at...like me. if you think this company may fold, get out. if you don't sell and hold, you haven't lost anything...if you do sell, for sure you will lose...Happy Thanksgiving glta.
thank for the reply... i bought 700 shares ah at 1.38....confirmed thru fidelity. i know, it sounds crazy, but fidelity is showing a bid/ask of 1.34 &1.35, no news ah that i could find....anyone?
