While I disagree with your first line statement, I fully agree with your title.

IMET may be one of today's medical marvels!

I strongly suspect that you will be richly rewarded.

    The only question is WHEN!

trail: pretty lame answers to some VERY important questions for investors.

I was wondering, do you really believe those answers?

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, the clock is ticking. 4 months, 5 months, 9 months, a year.

    Of course, IMO.

Guess that none of the board dummies care that chippy may have known about the FDA liver concern months before the actual Hold?

    Of course, IMO.

If you were an investor instead of a board dummie, you'd be concerned about the issues which I have posted.

Obviously, "you have no dog in the race!"

No investor likes a 6% haircut like we received today.

trail: I must have had a complete failure to communicate!!!

    Let me try this again.

I was asking when GERN first was notified by the FDA that they had potential liver concerns, NOT WHEN THE HOLD WAS IMPOSED.

Do you recall that we posted directly from the FDA website that the FDA would contact the company and attempt to resolve the issue PRIOR to issuing a hold?

When was GERN first notified of potential problems PRIOR to the Hold?

And, NO, chippy never said that the day of the Hold notice was the first FDA contact. Never said that!!!

    NEJM

It seems to me that there is a time value associated with waiting for the NEJM versus releasing the data and moving on. If you are correct, it could be a long, long time before they are satisfied and publish the report.

In the meanwhile, what happens to the timing for the rest of the Phase II study and other potential testing?

It would be nice to go full speed ahead both in the U.S. and abroad.

    folks:

    1. we spent quite a lot of time and bandwidth discussing the FDA protocol PRIOR to issuing a Hold. We had parts of their specific language from their website posted on this board. Saying that the FDA, one day, just picked up the phone and told chippy that they imposed a Hold on IMET is preposterous!!! We've spent hours on this situation and if someone chooses to ignore the facts and truth, so be it.

    2. silence for legitimate reasons like negotiating a partnership or a buyout is NOT a Veil of Silence. A Veil of Silence is used to hide something for whatever reason. We have no idea what is being hidden because we are told precious little. There is NO valid rationale for treating us like mushrooms!

    3. what really is bothering me is that I fear I am watching yet another GERN opportunity being squandered by extremely inept management. After 4 months, the GERN Hold is still there. We are getting reports that Dr. T's excellent results are not being fully disseminated to the general public. MF patients are not allowed this information within certain websites. We know this and then pretend all is well? No, all isn't well and we CAN do something about it if we choose.

I think that IMET has very high potential for being named one of the current wonder drugs if it ever gets to market. Where are the proactive management actions to get this drug to market and help suffering patients? We don't see any from GERN.

I hate seeing things get screwed up ESPECIALLY when they don't have to be. Maybe that's what bothers me most about the current GERN situation.

    Of course, IMO.

end: since you posted your response in a very civil fashion, I will likewise respond.

None of my points have been specifically answered by chippy or anyone else at GERN.

I tried asking the FDA under the Freedom of Information Act and was told that many of these were company proprietary.

It is my extremely strong opinion that GERN could have minimized any law suits by having more clarity and not treating investors as mushrooms. This is all on chippy from the get-go! I seriously doubt that March 12th caught chippy completely by surprise. I strongly believe that the FDA had been communicating with GERN and GERN failed to properly and completely respond. That's why all the law suits.

SEC Safe Harbor shields companies from law suits when releasing data and information. GERN cites Safe Harbor when beginning all CCs. There is clearly more, MUCH MORE, that chippy could tell us. He just won't! I'll accept NO excuses on chippy's behalf.

The Bottom Line, that should be EXTREMELY clear to all, is that when a company is using a Veil of Secrecy, it is hiding something. This is a 100% correct statement. The problem is that we don't know what GERN is hiding!

    Of course, IMO.

clown: this question wasn't whether chippy was talking about the liver issue. It was when GERN first learned about the FDA having concerns.

Was it a month before March 12th?

    Two months?

    Three months?

    When was it?

  • blackmarango by blackmarango Jul 16, 2014 4:13 PM Flag

After 4 months of silence, what's the big secret?

    Why can't chippy tell us:

    1. when GERN was given first notice of the FDA liver concern?

    2. status of using Dr. T's IMET data to release GERN's Hold?

    3. status of GERN's documentation to release the Hold?

    4. status of starting Phase II studies in other countries?

    5. overall status of Phase II?

    6. current Path Forward?

Why the secrecy? What's chippy hiding?

$2.2+ Million should buy us some clarity!!!

    Inquiring minds want to know!!!

    Of course, IMO.

OK Board Dummies: why not spend your time more productively than bashing me?

    1. Flood GERN's switchboards, email, and FAX asking for updates.

    2. Go to MF patient websites and distribute the Mayo Brochure and MF slides that chippy used.

    3. Research your local medical associations and present the material in #2 to them.

    4. Write your local, state and Federal politicians inquiring about the Hold.

    5. Contact the FDA.

    6. Add your own possibility!

I've done mine, can you do yours?

    Of course, IMO

Is there anything out there indicating approximately when the ACTC results will be released in the NEJM?

Back in December, it was forecast 1-6 months for publication. That time period is up. Makes me wonder what the delay is?

Do you think that Wotton will grab the bull by the horns and release them without the NEJM?

Of course it's Yellen. It's never the terribly inept GERN management who treats us like mushrooms. It's always someone or something else like the shorts, the MMs, the FDA, the Incy lobby, fill in the blank. This sort of BS is tired and old. It's sickening to ALWAYS blame the wrong entity!!!

If chippy would start issuing some progress reports, if chippy would start IMET testing outside the U.S. if chippy would start some partnering with a successful Big Pharm, if , if, if, then, we might see some PPS Green progress.

By the way, ACTC is currently GREEN. Guess they don't qualify for the Yellen Curse?

    Of course, IMO.

  • blackmarango blackmarango Jul 16, 2014 9:38 AM Flag

box: I think that you would be better served by focusing on GERN, not world politics. You will just get yourself upset by their comments!

I would like to see more investor action toward getting GERN to break their silence and getting the IMET word out to the general public.

I know that some on this board believe that we, investors, are powerless to effect what happens with GERN, but we are certainly powerless if we roll over and play dead. The posts about the MPN forum were disturbing. Surely there are other places where MF patients go to get information. Certainly, we can get the Mayo Brochure and other IMET information to them elsewhere.

Now is NOT the time to play dead.

    We need to be proactive.

    Of course, IMO.
