I just checked both my Fidelity and TDAmerica accounts.

Asterias Shares were credited to both.

They weren't there this morning. Maybe they were "issued" after Market Close?

I just looked in my Fidelity account and my Asterias shares are there. They weren't there first thing this morning.

js: they were issued as proceeds for GERN "selling" GERN's stem cell IP. You can sell them like any other security. They do not effect your current GERN shares.

    Enjoy and good luck!

Just like most things GERN, Dr. T's responsibilities and authority are apparently not GERN defined, at least to the public.

It would be a mistake to make assumption here.

    Of course, IMO.

Please recall that the speculation was that chippy was brought on board to sell GERN. This is one area where he seems to have excelled in the past.

Maybe, just maybe, he can excel and sell GERN for a good price?

    ACTC

Folks: one of the big problems that will take a while to sort out is the very toxic management that ACTC has had over the years. I strongly suspect that there are many issues and "loose ends" that need sorting out. I'm optimistic that Wotton can do it!!!

I rather suspect that Sep 30th will come and go without a R/S. If ACTC isn't ready, they're better off doing nothing with the R/S.

What they need to do quickly is publish their great results and get on with the next stage of testing.

If this can be done, I think that the PPS will take care of itself.

    Of course, IMO.

keep: in my strong opinion, Gary Rabin was an utter ACTC disaster!!!

It will take a while to mitigate his mistakes. I'm guardedly optimistic that Wotton can do that but, no doubt, it will take time.

As you opine, ACTC needs to get the great news of human success out to the investing world, medical community and general public. If the NEJM won't publish the results, Wotton needs to get them out in another way. I do think that the NEJM has had plenty of time to make their decision to publish or not. Time for them to "Fish or Cut Bait."

    Of course, IMO.

Anybody get their ASTY shares today?

Nope, not yet in either TDAmeritrade or Fidelity.

As someone posted yesterday, GERN is ALWAYS late in getting things done.

I must have struck a note with the shorts and trolls to get 25 thumbs down. Can we try for 50?

I would think that ALL GERN investors would be extremely interested in how GERN is going to produce enough IMET for 100s of patients!!!

As usual with this board, the real, root core issues and discussion topics receive little attention.

keep: I think that you will find that I have been talking about good ACTC results for a little over a year. I think the patient that went from 20/400 to 20/40 and the comments that all patients had some sort of improvement convinced me that there was promise.

I'm disappointed in the lack of released results, but, at this point, I'm willing to wait another 5 months. After that, I may revise my position.

icon: maybe you posted this elsewhere, but why/ how did you get share certificates?

I don't recall that we had an option of getting certificates as opposed to shares deposited directly into our accounts, but maybe we did?

I know that the shorts and trolls don't want this question asked but:

Why hasn't chippy asked for a Partial Release of the Hold, based on Dr. T's data, so GERN can begin IMET-MF Phase II?

Didn't say a word about this on the CC, like it wasn't even an option!!!

Some of you guys are so unrealistic when it comes to a new CEO's performance.

You wanted him to speak immediately and give you good news. I said give him a month and see what happens. He gave us some "good" news within that time.

You wanted him to give good results immediately. I say give him 6 months and see what happens.

I am optimistic that we will have "good" results soon.

    Of course, IMO.

Some think that we will get them in our accounts tomorrow, 15 Aug 2014.

I'll believe it when I actually see them in my accounts.

There is one other important aspect of IMET production that we should consider. Dr. T is a highly gifted MF researcher and IS the RIGHT person to lead the MF Phase II Study! No doubt about that!

However, he most probably IS NOT the right person to be building an IMET production facility or negotiating with a Big Pharm to produce IMET. Skill sets are remarkably different.

Is our Dear Leader qualified to do it?

    Guess time will tell.

    Of course, IMO.

  • blackmarango blackmarango Aug 14, 2014 1:34 PM Flag

92: perhaps you should go back and listen to the entire CC including the Questions and Answers.

One of the analysts asked chippy about submitting the requisite data earlier than the "end of the year." She wanted to know why not sooner. Chippy clearly reiterated by "the end of the year."

If it is the end of the year, then FDA approval is next year at the soonest.

    Fact Not Fiction.

If there is a buyout, what would you guess that the buyout price would be?

My guess is $3 Billion based on somewhat similar small biotech buyouts.

We have no way of REALLY knowing what they are gearing up for because chippy has NOT said.

For trials beginning in 1 Q 15, I ASSUME that they are but using the word ASSUME is extremely risky when used in the context of GERN.

    Of Course, IMO.

taz: interesting! How many patients do you think are on the other IND?

My guess would have been increased patients rather than increased production costs.

The issue is what happens when they have 100s of patients, not 10s?

No indication that GERN is trying to introduce mass production.

No indication that GERN is partnering with a Successful Big Pharm who does have mass production facilities.

    Veil of Silence Continues.

Something must happen one way or another, or there will be NO Phase II.

    Let the trolls respond.

    Of course, IMO.
