US total rail traffic is up 4.7% YTD over 2013. What do you think they're hauling so much more of... thin air hah?

  • blackoutbuzz blackoutbuzz 3 hours ago Flag

That remains to be seen. In any case, that was not my question... So, do you know if Lumileds will own the Philips oled fab (however big or small that is)?

Flat 2014 revenues vs 2013... what a DUD.

@@@@@Management reiterates its original guidance for fiscal year 2014 made at the end of February, for revenues to be in line with those of last year. Concurrently, the Company is not expected to be profitable on an EBIT basis over the course of this year. Nevertheless, Management continues to expect a year-on-year improvement in earnings due to progress made in cost savings and restructuring.

I've always considered TV and lighting to be the primary drivers. Phone screens was a decent start but the real catalyst will come from news like this. LG seems to have killed two birds with one stone by opting to put their R&D efforts into White instead of RGB... good for TV's AND lighting.

  • Philips and AYI (again... #$%$ you buttcrreamer) are pushing into oled lighting products. Konica Minolta has an oled roll2roll production line slated to ramp in Q4.

@@@@@Universal Display Corporation (OLED), enabling energy-efficient displays and lighting with its UniversalPHOLED® technology and materials, today announced that it has broadened its Philips relationship to a commercial material supply agreement. With this, Universal Display will extend its supply agreement from the evaluation phase, to provide Philips with its proprietary PHOLED™ phosphorescent OLED materials and technology for use in its commercial OLED lighting products.

You are a lying pumptard buttcreaner. You have repeatedly posted about AYI here, and how they are doing so much better than CREE. I only started tracking it when they announced OLED products.

CREEpy CREE stalker providing pure FUD.

CREE paid $525 million for Ruud Lighting so CREE could vertically integrate their chips into their own lighting fixtures. Acuity's sales grew last quarter and their gross margin increased as well despite buying outside vendor LED chips.

Oh yeah, Acuity's PEG is 2 vs CREE's PEG of 2.5 Less

How Acuity Brands (AYI) Stock Stands Out in a Strong Industry?
by Zacks Equity Research Published on January 16, 2014

  • yuck

  • from back on Jan 8. AYI must be buttcreamer's favorite stock since he has mentioned it many times here on the CREE board.

  • A big volume spike was triggered on Jun 27 when the stock dipped below the 200 day SMA and after a brief recovery a sustained downtrend kicked in. On the daily chart the 50 period line crossed down through the 200 in early July. Now, on the weekly chart, the 10 period SMA is set to cross down through the 50 period line. That hasn't happened since way back in early Sept 2011. Unless there's a big pop on earnings next week this could get ugly.

There may not be a decision issued until end of year. A state agency is asking that any rate change be retroactive to August 1.

@@@@@ STATE AGENCY PRESSES CASE FOR DRASTIC CUTS IN JCP&L RATES TOM JOHNSON | JULY 28, 2014 NJ Rate Counsel seeks to resolve 3-year-old petition targeting utility’s excessive profits, lack of investment in infrastructure Jersey Central Power & Light should give retroactive refunds to its customers if the state decides to roll back its rates, according to a filing by the state Division of Rate Counsel. Both agencies recommended during administrative hearings that rates be dropped by more than $200 million. In its own filing, JCP&L originally sought to increase its revenues by $31 million. The rate case may not be decided until the end of the year, according to the filing by the Rate Counsel. Its motion asks the BPU to establish provisional rates, effective August 1, that would require refunds from that date if the agency decides the company has been earning too much.

Assessment of tax implications is up to the individual shareholder not the company, as the tax situation varies for each person. Consult your tax advisor.
