Looks like the uptick thingy is by the boards now too.
So... nobody seems all that eager to buy the light at the tunnel's end scenario anymore. Maybe thinking that hopeful glimmer of light they thought they saw last time was likely a mirage, or worse, the mere reflection off the bones of those eager beavers who bought the rally last time.
With the boogeyman maybe lurking there now waiting patiently to sate his appetite again, drooling at the thought of the the next loada stout hearted suckers to come charging his way looking to fill their empty sacks with gold bricks.
The progression of these cycles often play out that way... in a sorta "Guns of August" pattern, from mass confidence of easy victory enthusiasm that inevitably devolves after the grind of repeated disheartening setbacks into stalemate, disillusionment, hopelessness and (for those who can't take the daily shelling anymore) surrender.
Thing is, you wanna be around to ride up front in the victory parade when it ends (and it will), you hafta know all that up front and be resigned how it's gonna take a bit of fortitude and commitment, very likely at a point when the overburden of gloom is at its thickest and one's reptilian brain is in full-blown override demanding that fight is now outta the question, and flight is the only way to preserve one's scaly hide.
Juss remember, picking your spot to dig in is always the tough part... but after that it gets easier.
Fill in the usual disclaimer.
Or (more likely) perhaps not.
Nor would he try.
When politics becomes a faith based religion, as it sooner or later must with these unshakable hardcore lefties, in order to avoid answering such questions without the obvious pinocchio effect, all the common sense denying illogic and endemic failure would have to be explained at some point. If not to one's critics at least to one's self in order to justify the repeated eager swallowing of the required daily doses of malarkey.
In sharp contrast to your moonbeams and roses, lilacs and honeysuckle enlightened and always oozing the milk of human kindness self.
There are all sorts of good reasons.
Very much on the order of having one's juvie records sealed, or invoking the constitutional right to take the fifth against self incrimination.
Like all libs, sis, what you lack in native intelligence and common sense, you often make up for in generosity of spirit and kind heartedness. So naturally then, what makes you glad, makes me glad too.
Kind of a personal question, sis. One I'm reluctant to answer in any detail without knowing what might motivate the inquiry. I mean, the more obvious possibility kinda giving me the shudders right now juss thinkin about it.
Let us just say though, that staying in shape, sticking to a regimen of regular exercise including daily weight lifting, long walks and keeping my alcohol intake to moderate levels of consumption mosta the time, has allowed me to maintain a satisfying vigor in every department. Including that one.
It goes that low, that 10% 'll be down to zero.
Which it likely will be anyway before things turn around.
That is tuh say, this isn't and never has been a buy it 'n sock it away widows and orphans stock with a reliable dividend tuh pay for the rent and groceries. Unless those who're bereaved and parentless also have a venturesome spirit, follow the markets closely and happen to be savvy traders.
So sis, was the immediate bootlegging reference after your mention of ol' man kennedy intentional? Or was it merely an understandable Rorschach style word association sorta, hey, when one comes to (what sadly in your case must pass for a ) mind, the other juss naturally follows kinda thing?
I mean the kennedy name being emblematic of the inherent elitist hypocrite dem mindset that the laws, as with taxes, (hellooo lurch Kerry, timmy geitner, tom daschle and cholly rangel), are for the little people... and of course those dimwitted chumps who vote for us.
BTW, did you know that mob boss Joe Costello, not particularly known for his honesty himself, always claimed that his prohibition bootlegging partner, joe kennedy, was easily the biggest #$%$ he was ever associated with?
Glad to hear those odd lot trades are workin for yuh sis.
You still betting on vice and dope or are only doing that as one and for the other in the voting booth these days?
Actually, professor hawking, the redundancy was the entire point... that is to say, purely intentional on my part. I actually misjudged you in assuming that you must certainly have gotten *that* much at least.
I mean, almost anyone else would you know (Or maybe you don't).
Something I took for granted in your case (a minimal supply of native intelligence and enough of a sense of humor to get the joke), but really, you didn't get that at all, did you?
Totally my fault of course... for giving you a modicum of undeserved credit.
Guess the only thing I *do* know about you then, is that you're a humorless, nosey, meddling busybody, and pretty much thick as a brick to boot.
And you seem to have some difficulty with punctuation.
But really, my knowing that now isn't something I particularly care about either.
Course you know that by now too.
Amelia Earhart's plane is missing.
I'll bet there are a lot more people who don't know that.
But you're right about at least one someone not knowing... about the divvy cut anyway.
There always is.
Or of at least making the impression of not knowing.
And, as in the case of saving souls, if you've set one formerly errant one straight upon a proper, you've done a minimum of one good deed.
And that deserves no criticism from anyone.
But since you already knew I knew, why bother to tell me what we both know?
Unless it was somehow important to you to let me know that you knew.
That's the case then, what I don't know now is why in the world would it be?
PS I hope you already know in advance that in all honesty?
I don't really care.
Either way, now you know.
Well, if they did that, they wouldn't be longs anymore, would they?
