First the american voter is much wiser than the brit voter.
second the vote for us is four months away,by then trump will be exposed for the fraud he is!
as predicted taking it down to reduce cost of the deal, may become a great buy ,but right now the internals
are showing it is being sold!
From the depths of hell this company is making a come back, not really sure why,but the dividends
seem to just keep rolling in and who does not like income.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Pay your taxes and be glad! You live and invest in the greatest nation the world has ever had!
agree MSFT has a history for Overpaying and now they have done again
Would think they would have learned from the nokia deal!
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Thanks for your reply, will be calculating just how that works out tax wise.
Also want to thank you for all helpful inputs you have given to this board over the years.
Understand the stock portion,no problem there. it is the cash
portion that is confusing . Will have a in take of over 100,000$ in cash,so how am I to account for my actual cost of something around 30000$, so
is that 100,000$ going to be taxed as a regular dividend?? TIA
How will that work? So if we paid more than the cash received ,will that be a capital loss?
Just not sure how to frame this whole transaction.
another sad short heard from. How about this The big B may buy the company
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Two reasons : one is the price action, broke 8$ and has nor recovered.
second we have to see how they resolve the oil related holdings.
Will be buyer when I see a price action turn around.
Thanks DD for your input, very confusing. Have 10,000 shares so not looking forward to paying taxes on that cash portion, would think some of that should be ROC/
If all the cash is taxable as regular income , o would we be better off just selling now so that capital gain tax would come into play, most o my share were purchase below 5$? TIA
Yes ARCC is where our attention should now be focused ,picking up on any pull back, because any management that get away with stealing this company can not be all bad!
get real and do the math .453 x 2.00 is a lot less than .453 x 15.00,
as the price go down the share of one suffers less than the share of the other.
lesson learned,no management ,repeat no management has your interest in mine when making "deals" their only mantra is what is "in it for me"
