I too am disappointed that I did not get all shares. However, the all shares option for KMP was an option introduced late in the deal because originally we were to get 2.1931 shares of KMI and $10.77 in cash. the all shares option was conditioned on proration should too many people elect all shares (they must not have had adequate authorized issued shares of KMI common to work with). Apparently there was indeed a prorated reduction because we got 2.226 shares of KMI and about $9.55 in cash per my calcs. So while disappointing, it was better than the original deal.

that exchange ratio (2,4849) applies to KMR. If you elected to convert KMP to KMI at that ratio, your election is subject to proration based on how many shares of KMI are available above the default rate of 2.1931 (plus cash) based on how collectively everybody else elected.
