Great advice gman, agree whole heartedly....you can't know the bottom, but only know that we are getting close, which is the place to buy! Buy LOW sell high!
Fundamentally I find it hard that this stock has dropped off so much considering the assets of the company, the price of oil, etc. But it has. Support at 4.88, and a bump from there indicates we may be at a good entry point. But until there is some good news, SD may sit at these numbers awhile! In turn, the news could come soon and the numbers could continue to head north! Whats the status on TW.....
Wow, had not expected this kind of drop, but be it what may, looking for a good time to get into some more SD......waiting a bit, gotta see if this is going to continue to fall. ....
I hope you are right, but for now it continues to drop! This would be a great entry level for those not in.....there is not a whole lot of bottom side left to this one, gotta start to move soon and it would seem this would be one that the big dogs would be getting into and many have said on this thread!
And the assests of other oil companies are not the same holes in the ground that are producing the potential wealth the companies seek in producing such holes. Come on, you can do better than that cant you! That is what smaller oil and gas companies have!
Point noted, haven't been on this site in awhile will have to get a feel for who is who! Thanks for the heads up and your input!
Ward is out, the price of the stock is rock bottom, they have a tons of acreage assets, oil is near $100 dollars a barrel.......things seem to have fallen in place for those who are willing to back up the truck on SD. Looks like this one is ready to pop! A competent CEO and some good management should move this stock....too much upside!
oilsit......worthless, with all the assests they have.......hard to invision that! Can you back up you statements with anything substantial, or are you just posting on emotion? And if you are dealing with stocks on emotion then maybe you should step back for awhile and collect yourself!
I asked you about SD on a different topic on this MB a few minutes ago.....no need to address that one, your comments here answer more than my share of question and doubt about SD. One last question though. Does SD have problem with leases coming to fruition before they can get drills to the sites?
Have followed SD for a couple of years. Had the idea it was a good buy when i first started watchinig and didn't. Really interested in getting into SD now based on assest and share price alone. It appears that this stock has no place to go but up. Do you have any additional insight? Seems to me that the changing of the guard with TW etc. is also going to be a good thing for this company!
I agree, Tom Ward being gone is a positive for SD! We have been hurt by his actions far too much and the success of this stock (lack of) over the past couple of years is proof positive of that!
I don't know of two, but for sure one refinery is being built in Dickinson ND, on the south edge of the Bakken. IT is a deisel refinery and is being built by MDU Resources Group Inc. and Indianapolis-based Calumet Specialty Products Partners. MDU is mutlfaceted CO and supplies ND and Montana with utitlity natural gas and electricity and operates power plants in ND.
Hope this helps
