CIRCUMCISION! ..oops......OUCH! Sorry everyone.............but it does give a graphic representation as to how exactly that CASH is going to be STRIPPED away from the HANDS of our SHORT friends! IMHO of course!
or SCREAMING MEEMIE SYNDROME.......FB is going to Knock it outta da park AND....paint a very nice HOLIDAY quarter............DUH......gee, wonder if FB traffic is going to be up to the Nth Degree for the Holidays!? LMAO! IMHO anyways...........!
zipper down and I await more lip service from you! LMAO!
Really? The day before earnings? "........I do think something is rotting in the state of denmark...." So to speak!
So when does our FAILED OBAMACARE lead the cruise industry into offering medical/dental vacation cruises? Out beyond 200 miles, it seems a root canal, implant.....maybe some corrective eye surgery......how about a heart transplant?
Of course, the legionaires disease and airborne diseases would have to be totally eliminated but how would you like to be sitting on a beach drinking some fashionable adult beverage following your root-canal/crown?
WHERE ARE YOU ON THIS CCL?
AOL once had a LOCK on IMing! Things like email, instant messaging etc. and the FCC stepped in and allowed others to interface with AOL's IMing............OOPS!
I see no reasonable expectation that Twitter will hold a lock on its blue print service. In fact there are already work arounds like FBs INSTAGRAM and others will likely step into the twitter pool as well. I mean gee, I wonder if mobile phone carriers would like in on the action!? How about GOOG? AAPL? MSFT? YHOO? FB? To name a few rather large barbarians ready to crash the twitter walls!
I am probably wrong about Twitter........but I think it alittle like that old Tom Hanks movie, "You have mail!", its already old!
Good for you! There are better things to do in life than waste ones time on a message board littered with little more than meaningless /useless debate that has ZERO impact on the outcome of a stock price!
My problem is that I LOVE taking shots at the naysaying IDIOTS who enjoy playing schoolyard bully!
Alittle jumbled, let me add here......simply put, OIL pays the bills and NG is the winning lottery ticket!
Many talk EVs (elect. vehicles) but here is the fact that STOPS EV cold! EVs have no range, and while this may change, OUR ELECTRIC GRID CAN NOT, today or, tomorrow, charge americas auto's! Its just not possible, we do not have the capacity to charge America's cars!
On the otherhand, we already have some 40+/- million ( I don't know the current figure) homes served by NG! New power plants being built and those being updated/upgraded are moving to NG! DEMAND is already building and expanding the NG foundation upon which, our economy will be built on, moving forward.
While I said I don't care if NG stays at 3 bucks, it won't! We all know that it is headed upward though I think we see a high 3 to mid 4 buck range for NG which is great for us and allows us to EXPORT at another 25 to 50% boggie on top of our production cost (ground to port) and we still come in at 50% to 75% the current cost our FUTURE CUSTOMERS currently pay for their energy!
The very first EXPORT facility will be in operation in less than 12 months and at this crossroad, I believe NG players get a premium to their existing stock prices (like SD, CHK and so many others in the NG patch) as the future of energy use/demand becomes clear to all.
Current oil producers such as Saudi have made it clear that they NEED to see oil around 100 bucks per barrel and any price disruption to this will be enjoyed domesticallyby producers BUT NOT, by those who import. Logically so I might add.
Bottomline, I think we are about to cross our "final line of departure" (to use an old military phrase) for cheap energy, primarily, the up and coming proliferation of NG usage, WORLDWIDE!
Sorry for the verbage.......backing off the coffee right now! LMAO!
Doug and others serve us all well to remind us that the NG play is a longterm play BUT, expectations and momentum are not!
In 2014....we will see GM's ng/gas Impala hybrid, F's ng/gas F150 ( the number one selling truck in the world), the export of LNG and reports on other export terminals progress toward completion. I venture to say, we will see a major migration in the auto industry to expand this hybrid concept to include an ever growing fleet of models/makes that use both ng and gas. One might say, this movement has already started.
I don't care if NG remains at 3+/- bucks...because we can sell it for 5 bucks......add another 2 bucks to transport it...charge 7 to 8 bucks and Japan and others who pay 13-15 bucks will thank the US for the next century.
Stocks price on expectations looking forward and I equate the NG phenom about to take place, to the same PC phenom in the early 1990's when SO MANY refused to recognize the value of say a (what?), a TECH co, like, oh say MSFT, ORCL, CSCO and a host of others.
The real difference in dynamics between the oil age and the new ng age is this, in our oil baron days, we were providing for ourselves primarily, in this new NG age, we are growing our usage as the world also converts to NG.....AND as mentioned, we, the US,. come in and double (actually maybe make 25% to 33% markup on our NG after cost) our take while cutting the cost in half for our NG customers around the world.
While it is the TECH age, mobile tsunami etc., etc.,...............too many either do not understand or turn a blind eye to what WILL BE thanks to the imminent NG revolution.............EVEN with declining oil prices!
Thats my take and I guess when I see the tracks in the snowey future, NG leaves an unmistakable trace as to its direction! All IMHO of course!
...and correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like someone sold 55,370 PUT contracts? Am I reading my tdameritrade options chart correctly? Hmmmmmm........thats HUGE if it was a sale which of course is bullish...that was the NOV 6's.......hmmmmm...have a good weekend all.....and if I am reading those options correctly, i would not want to be Short........all IMHO of course.....
of CALLS.....NOV 7's and 8's! Hmmmmm, someone SHORT is either protecting themselves against the earnings call or maybe there is something else going on.......I don't know...........oh well, we can all hope.....huh!?
soo_pur...I think you are spot on but I also think we as a nation are headed toward a critical mass conversion over to CNG and LNG in our transportation sector. CLNE is building out truck stops and GM announced it will have a gas/natgas Impala hybrid next year BUT THE BIG addition is F's announcement of an F150 gas/natgas hybrid.
All in 2014.....and while the effect will initially be that of a pimple on a camels ASSSSSSSSzzzzzzzz (LOL !), it is the undeniable beginning of the mass conversion over to NG!
Add to this the undeniable price break the US gets on NG verses virtually the rest of the world (for now anyways) and it is in the interest of foreign nations/energy corporation to have an interest in US assets for obvious reasons!
The time for said foreign players to gather assets is now! Not once the run really gains momentum and its too late to look back and say gee, shoulda, woulda, coulda!
Taking in all of the above notions, I think there is much to the US energy sector dynamics that the talking heads on TV are not even considering and won't, until its too late!
Lke I always say, i like to own the fields (well in advance) that I think the herds will one day pay to graze upon! While not perfect, SDs assets hold some promise, for now anyways! But, alittle help from the Oil/NG gods would be nice! LMAO! All IMHO of course!
Earnings becomes all the more important with the forecasted drop off in oil prices moving forward. Of course no one really knows what the future holds and yet another wildcard adding to the overall equation is LNG's EXPORTING of NatGas next year and this one event will forever change the landscape for US energy producers in both oil and gas since many do at least alittle of each!
The ultimate question is funding for 2016 and beyond, needed for drilling expansion etc. Of course this question can be partially answered by increasing production between now and then and it shouldn't be too hard to figure out what that production rate/revenue growth needs to be. I expect we will hear alittle on this subject from SD or in the way of an analyst's question.
I maintain my view however that if SD begins to find high producing wells that it becomes a take out candidate based purely on the ground it owns!
Either way, I think Bennett will continue to show improvement and this leads us to Cooperman's forecasted value/price of 10.00....... short of sector volatility etc. all IMHO of course....
The TEA PARTY/GOPers accomplished everything they needed to accomplish and that was to GET EVERYONES attention, INCLUDING YOURS.
They are about 5 steps ahead of you....you see now all they have to do is sit back and say SEE, WE TOLD YOU SO.
Combine that with the refusal on the part of our working YOUNG who will opt NOT TO PAY for coverage and its a CHECK and CHECKMATE Beotch, Doltbama, Pelosi-Reid (same person!), and dumb libs who are just now finding out that what the GOP/TP types were saying about cost, about trying to delay the program etc., etc. are now all staring DOLTBAMA in the face.
Jackson, you should NEVER mix politics and business unless of course you are one of those constantly seeking a handout from DC, which begs the question........you IDIOT!
Yes, F, GE, and now MSFT (and frankly, many more) give a better look at whats really going on than the hypotheticals spoken about on TV. While not the bell weather stocks they once were, when MSFT can surprise and BLOW OUT analyst expectations, thats saying something!
GE and F give us worldwide perspectives and both show a positive turn around worldwide.
Frankly, except for the US GOV, everyone else, including corporate america is doing okay and headed upward!
WHICH....all points to increasing ENERGY DEMAND! Thats right energy consumers! COME GIT SUM!
SD, ".....its whats for dinner"! IMHO !
Who? Prem Wasta? Any big dogs who left, did so before this recent run so I would automatically discount that news to pure BACKWARD views and nothing to do with moving forward.
Bottomiline, even if SD doesn;t hit a gusher or sweet spot, its smaller efforts continue to add up and their costs, seem to be the lowest in the region.
So hitting singles/doubles can also land one in the Hall of Fame.....hedgies like homeruns...thats why their average return this year is expected to be somewhere in the 8% range (in a 20+% percent market!).......so it seems big boys sometimes do little more than raise or lower the water level the rest of us are floating at, but in the end.....its the company, not the big boys! IMHO......time may prove you right, but I don't think so!
Come down off your horse arrogant one and either communicate WITH people instead of AT people (and you may get something out of your efforts besides self stroking ata-boys) or, continue to get harpooned like all spouting whales.
No one, let me repeat that, NO ONE wants oil below 100, not the ruskies, middle eastern dicators, chavez's ghost, or oil producers here in the US.
MACRO....while the US Production rates continue and usage declines, one should view this as the slow transition into becoming an oil exporter, not to mention self reliance. However, as fast as we produce oil, usage growth around the world continues to grow at a faster rate than our production increases OH, and that growth around the world will continue for DECADES. So the impending drop to 85+/- per barrel will not be long lived unless the WORLD ECONOMY falters and thats not likely since Eusope and Asia are just now climbing out of their holes. All IMHO......
Regarding SD, we may all be surprised, even you, time will tell and WORDS at this point matter little so daily volatility that reflects sector issues is of little concern and may in fact, be an opportunity, again, time will tell and frankly, the big boys with the big bucks are betting on our side, not yours, for what its worth.
Barely into SBUX peek season, that being, FALL, WINTER, SPRING...oh and HOLIDAY SEASON.....it appears back to SCHOOL SEASON also added to this years IN SEASON SBUX play! 100 by E-O-Y IMHO!
