Oh so you are the "Catcher in the Rye" trying to save everyone from pumping by issueing your own dumping that is equally as hollow?

I'm not sure there has been any real pumping in this room over SD. Opinions built from news and facts, embellished by hopes of a solid turn around are a whole lot different than pumping.

Have you ever lost your money on a failed turn around? I have. Have you ever made money on a turn around? I have. Winning is great, losing sucks.

I think it is fair to say that if anyone is deliberately painting an opinionated picture of SD, it is you. I think Stifel/Cooperman and MANY MORE validate the positive verses your negative take. So ignore we longs and go afer Cooperman! Go after Stifel ! Snipe at the energy sector! Ignore SDs beta! Doubt SDs new leadership! Deny reduced drilling costs and increasing rates of production!

Trmmara, it is okay to be a contrarian, afterall, that is all we longs are in your rearview mirror! But don't expect to be able to walk into a party and "P" on the floor w/out any repurcussions!
By the way, I don't pretend or even offer to speak on the behalf of anyone else but I'd bet there are more than a few who agree at least in part with my calling you out on your little BS mind game! For what it's worth dear......and all purely only IMHO.

In the end, you may be right, clearly, I am betting against that! Can you take it?

No ya don't! Who R U trying to kid? A vindictive, demeaning, degrading attitude toward others in it seems every context that allows you to express a deliberately confrontational attitude toward any and all tells us all everything we need to know about you!

Sorry Dear, re-read it slowly, you'll understand it the second time around.

You are the modern day school playground bully except you exact your price on a message board!

You must have some sad issues to gather as much enjoyment as you do while attacking others....but hey, its your life and life Dear, is way too short to spend it feeding on others.

Alot of good points for and against on this MSFT platform. I would argue it is more about the alliance and widening of reach/influence. I also think MSFT has shown it is in CHANGE MODE now that Mr Balmer has joined the NBA which, means MSFT has a hunger it has not had for at least the last decade! It's stock performance this year validates as much.

A Family member here was talking to a relative in Germany who suggested we get Whatsapp! It's only 99 cents per year! I couldn't believe it !

So when we talk new ad platforms we should also take into account the VERY HUGE audience out there that is yet to be tapped, if you will. Further, successful mobile ad platforms are being improved over time using every angle possible searching for that golden solution. Todays MSFT platform will probably look very different a year from now improving along the way and who better to guide that direction than a customer, like FB ! Who wins? Both MSFT and FB...and others are crowding in to join, it's inevitable short of a better mouse trap!

One thing FB ldrshp has shown us all, it is not content to sit back and accept its lot in life, it strives to NOT FOLLOW the path but, to CUT the PATH for OTHERS to FOLLOW ! BUT, it is also smart enough to know when to go back to the drawing board or, to crash a sinking ship (if you will) onto a reef for the fish to enjoy! IMHO !

With 200 million earmarked for a buyback, and the stock price as low as it is, it seems logical that drilling activity or any activity involving more expenditures near term, would be stopped or slowed in order to NOT add to the debt ! IMHO.......

  • boar292hog by boar292hog Sep 22, 2014 11:25 AM Flag

This stock is so easily moved up or down by the option premium rakers that no one should be surprised by the volatility in this down oil market.

Further, the big boys doing the raking are likely keenly interested in seeing a productive buyback which means at low prices.

Finally, Stifel just upgraded SD on 2 SEPT '14 and I am fairly confident that they have access to more information than the average investor and KNOW what it means! Also, facing the back drop of softening energy prices, you can bet Stifel, a rather conservative investment banking firm IMHO , priced in a fiarly worst case scenario at least in the near term.

Naysayers are acting like the buyback is the last act of desperation being perp'd by a management group running away with its tail between its legs.

Simply put, this management team has made progress each and every qtr and there is no reason to assume this has changed. With this notion in mind, the color of the buyback takes on a whole new meaning than that which naysayers are trying to poison the well with....IMHO. To be sure, purely IMHO and nothing more.....

By far the worst commercials on TV

    by jmedwick Jun 27, 2014 9:46 AM
    boar292hog boar292hog Sep 19, 2014 1:30 PM Flag

Wow! Relentless! CNBC plays your annoying commercial so much that I no longer flip channels.....I jsut turn off the TV for a few minutes ! I wonder HOW MANY OTHERS hate your tard commercials!? LMAO! Oh well, it's your business and you can "reef" your ship whenever and however you choose too!

  • SHLD, RAD, and select others for an already built distribution system here in the US. You know, those RAD roofs would make perfect landing/launch sites for drone deliveries....and actually access NEIGHBORHOODS!

Hey...just an idea...I'm sure naysayers can develop hip length lists as to why not to buy such entities but I think BaBa is forward looking enough to see where your, AMZNs drone idea is headed!

I mean with given drop-off/lift-off sites, why can't the FFA approve air commercial lanes below certain altitudes to insure air safety as well as routes? Oh that's right, google has the route thing down anf they continually update.

There are now gators in your mote preventing any in or out movements. Time to innovate or be innovated over!

  • Generics? Seriously? This is an industry wide issue and while everyone is focussed on generics working their way through the revolving drugstore door they are missing the customer flow!

The boomers on meds is no where near to hitting crtical mass, yet, IMO. Many are in their 50's and are just now waking up to the notion of "Wow! I better start taking this health stuff seriously!"

Add to this, the added flow of patients w/our new (and hated) government controlled healthcare coverage.

Simply put, ya can't fight the demographic aging of the boomer generation which is only now beginning to show in increased patient (and therefore, consumer) flow.

    IMHO...way oversold !

  • AMZN, WMT, COST, SBUX.........and most of all, a regional grocer called WINCO......which to my knowledge, has no drugstore ops.

The Boomer generation is what gave birth to so many institutions we see today purely based on demand from the largest generation to squeeze thru the consumer ranks up until its time! Between communications (media...advertising...TV) and transportation...virtually everyone (boomers) owned or grew up with a car.....and a TV......and while once there was nothing more popular and convenient than a fast order cheeseburger, today there is nothing more in demand than HEALTH/ healthy lifestyle etc.....MEDs to be sure......let me rephrase this......while once a cheeseburger drove consumption via the boomer generation today it is LIFE, QUALITY of LIFE and this means exercise, MEDs.....healthy foods....vitamins....etc., etc. IE.....RAD is a success waiting to happen and happen, it will! In fact, with same store sales increases..it seems RAD is in the midst of rejoining those at the top of the food chain!

All IMHO of course but hey.....RAD is far more valuable today in this price range than even a year from now as it continues its turn around again, IMHO !

WINCO ? R U even considering? If not, you should! What a cheap entry into expanding your presence/holdings/inventory opportunities!

AMZN! Yawn! You need this! Wake up !

  • It's here......and pulled pork is far better than pulled pants shuch as you shorts have inflicted upon yourselves! It's the 3 season intersection where football, back to school, and shopping bring out more consumers...and pulled pork is a love of many who are too busy to make their own!

Topped with slaw.............I just.............well...............what a refreshing choice at a fastfood burgerpatch store!

WEN flexes it's innovation again by blanketing the US with a REAL Sandwich laregly ignored by the burgerpatch........sweet....spicey...or smokey.......ouch! Buh bye McRibby baby! IMHO.......

  • I wrote a post a couple years back suggesting AMAZON could ON THE CHEAP, widen it's own dist. system while vastly increasing it's presence in neighborhoods across America by buying BestBuy.

The response i got here on yahoo Finance were mixed but mostly folks who were amused at best. Now in retorspect, talking heads on TV have suggested AMAZON buy RadioShack referring to the missed opportunity that once existed with BestBuy.

I think AMAZON can close a GAP that currenbly exists in its ability to DO WHAT A DRUGSTORE can do for America! Further, such a presence as RAD would create alaos allows for an immediate AMAZON ...DROP location for deliveries to consumers.

You see Mr Bezos....random consumers are likely NOT to want to provide prescription info. online etc. but gladly and CURRENTLY do so to their local drugstore. OOPS! The door is wide open for you! You just have to buy it!

Another consideration would be Sears and actually, this is much more of a retail opportunity than most realize. You see Latino's here legally or illegally, GREW UP ON SEARs and rely on it for quality product and service. This is no small demographic. Anyoner shopping for tools/electronics is also likely to at least check Sears. But here/s the key...YOU COULD OWN CRAFTSMAN ! YOWZA!

But you also gain a really nice dist. network with more inventory capabilities and thus less transport requirements by allowing a broader product PICKUP capability for customers! You also....GULP...get to enter the COSTCO exclusive domain!

Do you realize what a grocery presence inside any of America's AGING MALLS (where many Sears location are currently) would do for commerce inside that Mall !

Buy the MALLs as well ! You win 24/7......and the leases to other venders...and screening/excluding immediate co-located competition.....pays the rent ! Mr Bezos.........Call me ! LOL! I wish !

  • The AGING of the boomer generation creates new customers for RAD everyday.....AND.....the possibility of someone wanting to get into this drugstore distribution game increases daily as well.

You see Walmart, Costco, and other such retailers have their own little internal drugstores but BUYING a RAD not only widens their distribution system it also gives them direct access to neighborhoods they otherwise might not influence via their grocery locations. Further, it aloows them to widen their own economy of scale by placing their own brands/groceries etc., into RAD locations.

Hey wait a minute! AMAZON should BUY RAD not only does it create a much wider dist. network for drop orders etc., it GIVE AMAZON access to their own pharmecy! WOW ! HUGE !

Well, I think now that RAD has shown it has overcome it's near death experience (so to speak)............I once suggested AMAZON should buy BestBuy a couple years back when it had it's own near death experience.....is anyone at home at AMAZON? Hello ? Crickets.........................................BUT HEY.....RAD is the weakest in the pyramid of 3 drugstore chains...thus, it is thee most attractive especially given the HUGE DEMOGRAPHIC HURRICANE of patients the boomer generation represents for the next 3 decades!

All purely IMHO and nothing more.......

There are at least two stores here in Reno NV that have the pulled pork sandwiches.....and I guess if there was anything more I could say to WEN regarding these sandwiches it is this...TOAST THE BUN! LOL!
But seriously, the slaw on top of the pulled pork.......man....I am talking myself into getting another one for lunch today!

Yes, cut off the logistics...and then seriously, take no prisoners. Media blackout...and expedite the travel time for ISIS to join Allah. Oh and make it particularily brutal and immediate for westerners amidst these ISIS thugs.

  • Yes $ mgrs have been skimming some profits to take to alibaba....I guess the Chicom gfovernment is somehow, no longer a threat to investing in China. GULP !

Video Ads are going to SCALP Shorts this quarter and this new revenue stream has helped ENHANCE ad revs overall and...............it is just getting started! Whatsapp should begin turning in some revs certainly by years end...maybe sooner......oh and the advertising as a whole on social sites is still growing! Imagine that!

I think analysts are starting to catch on to FB the social site, FB the utility, FB the communcations tool and FB the advertising beheemoth......AND, FB the unknown with several potential revenue streams still hybernating in the back room so to speak!

    All IMHO.....
