Back in June when Bardack (Treasure Hunter) published his essay on his China trip and NQ investigations, I asked him one simple question -- any idea why NQ pours millions acquiring companies that are within 10-15 minute radius drive from the NQ headquarters? The question gone totally ignored and more pumping occurred since then.
Having an extensive knowledge on how some Eastern European companies operate, it seems like NQ is following the same scheme -- "acquiring" companies for an astronomical premium to simply get cash kickbacks later and infuse cash as a revenue. This can be totally masked from the most sophisticated accounting in a very simple way -- a chain of virtual infusion companies.
Surprisingly (or not), Muddy Waters mentioned a few examples in their report that fit this criteria. Legal Disclosure: we don't hold any short/long positions in NQ, and believe that a fair stock price for NQ is about $3-$5 a share. Do your own DD before investing!
Why won't you tell us why their sales are in decline?
"TAIPEI, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd , the world's biggest contract chip maker, warned chip sales will fall sharply in the coming three months as mobile device makers rein in new product launches and high-end smartphone sales weaken."
Yeah, same here. The consensus $0.2 EPS will be easy to beat. But I'm not holding it short-term. See you at $5+ by Jan and $7+ by April.
According to some estimates AMD's CPU/GPU costs $80 per unit.

Never heard of Canaccord Genuity.
Link to BofA upgrade, pls?
Just to remind you all -- PS4 exceeded 1M pre-orders waaaay back in August. Where are they at now? 2M? 3M? SONY quoted pre-order sales "phenomenal".
why wont you ask bestbuy about sold out preorders on ps4 and recently restocked preorders on xbox one?
This time AMD GPUs *and* CPUs are in BOTH consoles, PS4 and Xbox One. For the record -- the combined sales of PS3 and XBox 360 were 155M units. And don't forget that Nintendo is also using their GPUs. Add micro servers to the mix.
$7.50 by April like a breeze.
