Actually the kids are right.....a silver 50 cent piece has maybe $7 of silver in it. So the kids are a bit high at $10, but not that high.
In the Great Depression, a common gift to a homeless dude or dudette was 10 cents. That is about .07 ounce of silver (silver dimes). 0.07 ounce of silver is about $1.50 in current dollars. So, donations to homeless beggars should be adjusted upward now to $1.50 I guess.
Even the homeless beggars now laugh at 25 cents. "Hey dude, how about $5?" they now say. Even a $1 donation is met with disgust these days.
All that money creation since 1980, unfortunately the supply of silver and gold hasn't increased nearly as much. In fact, maybe flat. So much has gone into hoards so it is not available. We could see a Van Gogh or Picasso-like rise in silver price. They just aren't making any Van Goghs anymore.
No, I'm not saying silver will rise 100 fold, but 5 or 10 fold seems possible if the megarich start accumulating. They are smart. They will I'm sure. It has already started acc. to Bill Holter.
That is a big blow to the bears, even Jeff has abandoned them. Better cover!
One ton of silver is a mere 32,000 ounces, about $544,000 at the current low price. Wait until the megarich start buying in 10 and 100 and 1000 ton lots (if they can find it). Ain't seen nothing yet.
As soon as Friday, 1st notice day for delivery of physical for May Comex silver contracts. Just 32 mln ounces left acc. to Bill Holter. Tiny, compared to # ounce sold short by bears. Squeeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
