I knew the pole and cement block was moved but I didn't know why. A trench was dug so it could be moved. I don't think it exists any more. IBM has changed. If it hadn't it would be the best large computer hardware company with revenue continuing to decrease. When you realize that 2 Mb of memory on the 3033 cost $100,000,You can't even get something that small on a thumb drive that you probably received as a promotional give away.
Good analysis BUT I hope the carrier is not as long as the narrowest part of the river is wide.and that it doesn't get caught on the cast iron chain links strung across the river. It may be too big to turn around. The HARDWARE chain across the Hudson is still an important part of the company. IBM has reinvented itself many times in the past and although obstacles exist they will do it again. It is taking time but once its completed its stock should once again lead the market.
