I thought that this was a fair conference call. Based on the earning release and conference call, I do not see this stock moving up very quickly. Military/Navy business has been very good. But very little progress on the commercial side of the business. Not sure why they have not closed the England facility. I have not seen any progress in the European market or global market. The commercial business has been discussed for years but with little progress. Hopefully the additional sales force will show positive results next quarter. I think that over all things are moving in a positive direction but some tough decision must be made for example in Europe. In my opinion, costs could be reduced by closing the office and hiring sales reps on a commission basis. This is definitely a hold and I also think the current price is too low. Stock should be a minimum of $11 ($1.10 per reverse split). Need a good IR person to promote company to investment community.

Great list, however it is also important to know their average purchase price. Funds that bought low could exit fairly easily for a nice profit. Those that bought near current levels are more likely to stay in for the longer term and hopefully better profit margins.

What is the real price range for Ariad Pharma in Franfurt today?

  • Two excellent reports within the last two day. First OPCO have defended one of their patents and won again. Second they delivered an excellent presentation to LD Micro Cap yesterday. Be sure to listen to the one hour presentation. In addition some volume is beginning to increase in OPCO. In my opinion, OPCO is still way under valued.

5:55 AM and ARIA is trading in the $9.50 to $9.65 range. Looks like it might start Monday on the plus side.

Apparently you have not checked their extensive patent portfolio. They even won on appeals court with Lilly. A $10/share share price is very conservative. Hope you are short! I bought at $2.70 and do not plan on selling yet.

  • Apparently some of you are and familiar with M&A. I see a number of posts worry that their is no positive news from ARIA or and of the potential buy-out pharma companies. I owned ASTX for a number of years and the message board was similiar to this one. Please note, both ARIA and any pharma companies that have talked with ARIA have to sign an NDA. I look at the fact that no one has denied the rumors as postitive. It appears that at least two pharma companies have signed NDAs, otherwise they would deny these rumors. Even if a buy-out does not occur ARIA is worth more than $10/share. Check their patents.

    Mclain,
I agree that OPCO is a good company with slow steady growth. They have slowly reduced their debt and finally turned a profit last quarter. In my opinion this stock and company has been undervalued for a long time.
I noticed Halevay's comment regarding OPCO being run like a mom and pop operation rather than a public entity. In a number of ways this can be a good thing considering that many "public entities" are heavily in debt and are nowhere near making a profit. Please note, OPCO has a strong insider ownership which can be a good thing. I do think that their newly hired IR person needs to do a much better job of communicating with the investment community. I have not seen anything from IR, and if he does not produce I would fire him.
All that said, I like and own OPCO and believe that their stock is undervalued and hopefully the stock price will remain above $1 and finally make a nice break-out.

  • In addition to delisting the GSE SEC 8K filing on Friday 1-10-2013 (it can be found on SEC.gov or in the news section of Yahoo Finance), is also a potential problem. This 8K filing was a Waiver Seventh Amendment to Senior Credit Facility. I recommend that you read this 8-K and come to your own conclusion (I would be interested in your thoughts). However, if GSC can not meet creditor requirement this company could real problems. Remember creditors get paid before stock holders. It is surprising that a company with $500M in revenue and small float is below $0.80. Debt and competitive pressure is a big problem

Why would anyone be jealous of you. You have posted many negative comments about QTWW for a long time. You were bearish even when the stock was below $5.

Yes, another bad call by Cramer. He might recommend after it goes above $10. That is what happened with WEN (when it was below $5 he did not like the stock now that is above $8 he recommends WEN)

Going south does not make alot of sense based upon the upside volume today and yesterday. The bad news has already come out on this stock. ARIA cancer drug works, however it has side effects so do all the older approved cancer drugs that are still used today, but would not be approved in todays FDA approval process. There is always a chance for a slight pullback in the stock price but then it will move back up. Check the call options on ARIA great upside premiums! You can buy the stock at the current price and write the JAN 6 Calls for a greater than 10% premium in less than a month even if the stock never hits $6. Apparently you have not done your homework. Shorts are getting squeezed.

Yes, I have been in England many times but people who I met were not always doom and gloom. Based on your negative comments about QTWW you do not have and profits in this stock. Note QTWW does not have profits either but it does have significant price increases in the stock without profit. I will have profits in this stock and you won't.

Cloudyday, It has been along time since I replied to one of your messages. You have been negative on QTWW for along time. If you shorted this stock when you first went negative you would have lost alot of money. QTWW continues to provide good news with new business. It is great to see this company finally make great progress in a number of areas. I bought my shares afew months ago below $2, fortunately I have not paid attention to any of your posts.

Bluedogboy, I agree. this newer team has focused on their core business and got rid of distractions like Arbys. I think that Wedys i number one with respect to their food and menu versus MD and Burger King. Wish they would do a better job on global expansion and reconsider a breakfast menu in locations where appropriate.
