Well, they just announced this morning that the CEO just up and quit last night and the CFO is leaving next month......AND there's more lawsuits on the horizon for illegal sourcing of wood materials, not related to the formaldehyde problems. I wouldn't touch it with your money, but that's JMHO.
kee, I'm long NMM but your last statement was echoed by many when referring to SDRL and John Fredriksen's promise of dividend security.......................but I won't go there :~(
DH: Did M/S call your MSK. I just got called on MSZ. Guess they're paying off the higher yielding issues. It was good run while it lasted.
sarge, I'd never heard of a "one bagger". Two, three, four, etc. have always been doubling, tripling, etc. your investment. I'll hope to buy back lower in the coming weeks. Also getting their divvy on Fri.
No sarge, not a 1 bagger. Just a grand profit, unless that's what you mean :~). NRZ just couldn't hold it's all
time high today, closed .03 under. Oh well, tomorrow's another day.
and rarely trade but I just sold my NYCB which I bought in the middle of March for a quick 1k profit, including the divvy payable this week. NYCB is at it's highest price in over 2 years and I feel it's due for a pullback, looking at it's historical performance.
Hey Vin, at my age I forgot where the quarry is and even If I knew, I couldn't hear the gunfire LOL. I have my UTF (which has just about doubled with the DRIP) in my IRA so any way they pay the divvy is fine with me.
UTF, which I've owned for many years is a CEF utility and infrastructure fund which also owns MLPs with pipelines, and preferreds. No K-1, yielding about 7% and trading at about a 12% discount to NAV. Investopia just had an article yesterday on it. You can google "Complementing your portfolio with closed-end funds" to bring it up.
They knew investors were very interested in seeing what the HLSS assets were bringing to the earnings table so they decided to make this announcement with preliminary numbers in their system. I still think there's more to it which will show up in the 3Q. Remember, management's stated goal when they reverse split the shares was to get the share price UP and market and analyst recognition of the company. This fits right in with that goal. JMHO.
