Latest is now over 120 mil. No this does not point to a squeeze. Ave daily volume is also up and days to cover dropped to 3.5. It does however put a solid floor as the price moves up.the girrrls prediction of 25 and all those waiting for something under 32 to enter or re enter may be disappointed (again). Some real or fake bad.news needs to happen to create a drop exceeding 5 percent, otherwise this just creeps toward 35'each week. Industry news like the Intel numbers is going to move the 12 month target over $50 by someone soon.
Sorry girl this will never approach 25. Today's news will begin a new move, probably toward 34 (again). Time to consider buying at the low end. Of course, all bets and all T/A, etc. are over if the macro caves in on us. Jmho,
So, like stockgrrrrl you are all over the place with this theory. Could you just be concise. My guess is that before Oct the Macro will make all this voodoo worthless and you can kiss your up arrows goodby.
The grrl said MU would be between 34 and 25 by July 19th. Looks like she could be right again, heh heh. that's when I put her on ignore.
I can't get the ignore feature to cover more than 1 thread of posts. This board has been taken over by the self absorbed wanna be option guru and her multiple personalities. It is getting very annoying. If this so called system worked it would be worth millions, a how to book royalty and big dollars.from using it instead of littering this space with self congratulatory compliments . Please give it a rest. You need some time to eat and sleep. Can anyone help with a permanent ignore button?
Why would you be proud of reminding that the MU price could be between 34 and 25 by July 19th? It's already been over 34 and if it hits 25 I will buy your lunch. ( and subscribe to your news reports).
No blame just trying to educate the pumpers. Anyone can view this by googling sec form 4 for OVTI. The huge management dump of options on July 1 probably influenced the volatility on 7/2-3. The form reports just facts. In the past 12 months management purchases 0, sales over $7,000,000. Not a negative just a fact.
You do understand they issue options from shares they purchase in the open market held as Treasury Stock and then sell as management unloads their options, over and over, year after year. This is hard but think about it. Normally buying stock back benefits stockholders by lowering total outstanding shares. But then they issue a new round of options and management sells putting shares back on the market. Outstanding shares shrink by 4 to 5 million and then--- whoops. Don't worry. This has been going on for years and that is why this is a trading stock. The original IPO stockholders paid around $17 fifteen years ago. Go figure.
Dial up an sec form 4. These guys own no stock. They were just issued a boatload of new rights and options. The CFO is anson chan. Read the whole July Form 4. They use this company profits as a personal piggy bank. Been doing it for years.
First of all I am long so don't thumbs down because you don't understand what I post. I am not talking about the "experts" on T/A , charting or options always making absurd claims here. The self appiointed analysts who write for Seeking Alpha, etc are much worse because some poor retail traders will actually make investing moves because of their flawed work. Look at the latest SA that bases his conclusions on the large increase in revenues, cash flow and EPS since 2012. Nowhere does he appear to know that Elpedas preacquisition numbers are not included in his rambling sophomoric conclusion. That fact is not showing up in most of the headline grab put out today. Caveat emptor.
I own other tech companies and all use options as a big part of compensation. The difference is most others sell only a small part of their ownership position. Usually, options are favorable for stockholders by making management take the same risk of ownership. At OVTI insiders never buy in the open market, always free shares and they will not hold them. They usually sell on the same day they exercise and thus have no risk of ownership. That is legal but, many consider it negative. They refuse to eat their own cooking. Not to worry, they have been doing it this way since the IPO.
I never short but this dog frequently tempts me with its unpredictable moves. About the only thing for certain is managements frequently flushing their stock options.
