Once again, Spls disappoints. While the heart of the business disappears, they want to sell more candy and water. Their marketing has failed, their prices are consistently higher than AMZN, store service is poor. Who is to blame. Seems like the board needs to take dramatic action before stock sinks any further. IMO
Made the mistake of shopping at Sears. Selection was limited, "sales" staff was ignorant, they made commitments they couldn't honor, and the customer service people who answer their hotline are among the most inept I have ever encountered. If you can make money on the real estate, congratulations. I cannot see how the stores will ever be successful again.
Silly, ineffective marketing; confused selection; poor store service; prices- I have, on numerous occasions saved 40% (no exaggeration) on taking them up on their price match. Makes me question all their pricing.
I don't know what upper manGement is thinking but it might be time for a change.
