All well and good, but you do realize the company operates a pyramid scam, correct?
never going to hit even $7. Never. Just wait for the next market correction, if it ever happens the weak sauce like this will be cleaned out.
he's the worst I ever saw in the industry. Seems like an OK guy, maybe a bit disingenuous in his comments, but a terrible investor.
You know what else is making incredible highs? Price to sales ratio, Shiller p/e, Tobin's Q. All of them indicate S&P at 1150. Having said that there's no reason S&P can't go right up to one billion.
Current generations have seen one though. Nobody born today will ever see one. Ever! It will just be a figment of the history books, a nominal curiosity. Dow to one TrIlIoN by 2060!
Why didn't the Fed rig the markets years before? Why did they allow the crashes in 2000 and 2008? Was it simply to transfer wealth from the citizens at large to Wall Street?
So why can't Hussman? There is simply nowhere else to put your money. Period, end of story. This bubble will pop when (IF) interest rates spike big time. Otherwise forget about it. His fund will print 9.58 today.
losing big dinero, not enough fatties in the world for this dog to hunt
Sentiment: Strong Sell
It must be acceptable to someone! AUM are still much, much higher than I would have expected. Hey, he made 0.21% today! Sell sell sell before he gives it back!
Big washout coming when S&P goes to 2500
Ignoring dividends, S&P has almost exactly tripled while John Hussman has lost 25%. 10K invested at the S&P low: 30K if invested in stocks, 7.5K if invested in Hussman. The gap would not close if he lived to be 500 years old.
I guess I'm wondering if he would hold on long enough. We're surely going to print 2000+ now on SPX, maybe 2200, 2400. How long can he hold on? I could see him going all in long at the exact top, he really seems to be cursed.
