john , the fog may be a bit tilted toward pessimism , but I continue to take his observations seriously ... There is every to believe that P2 will eventually be approved ...on a rational; basis .....but thus far neither Ottawa nor the FN has shown to be very rational. . The jury is still out on TGB
Ski , You obviously already know the only possible carrier ..I will not repeat ..
Question #2 If you read me ..I will repeat only once more...THE NET PRICE ....
calm down .......you are not impacted in any case ! The offer of 10 cents for your armchair stands .
Hello skier ..You have flunked economics 101 ... everything has some potential cash value ...eg your :armchair" I bid 10 cents for it ......The hang up on FTL ? It must be sanitized of debt as a condition of sale ......That means my bid of 10 cents for your armchair is on the condition that you do not owe any installments on it ...it will always have some value , if only as firewood .
The opinion of armchair experts is amazing to those of us who have depth knowledge of the subject ......In any case the comments are harmless and worth a ;laugh or two !
I will simplify it for you : the gates can be sold or traded ...Airplanes , pilots & selected ground staff can be moved to a different location.....ok ? It is all a matter of price ....After many years in the airline business...I just might know how this works ....
The comments by dfskier are at odds with the reality ...There is an impending , massive , and global
shortage of pilots ..Forget Denver ..Theses resources are better deploye4de elsewhere ..Without further elucidation or elaboration , the "skier " would be well advised to do some homework on the subject.
If in fact RJET will be swallowing most of Frontier"s debt overhang to consummate the sale , then whoever holds stock in the successful buyer is the winner of a fire sale bargain ... a "sanitized " F9 will be seen as a highly valuable asset to at least one major carrier ....pilots, airplanes DEN gates, much of the ground staff can be redeployed to great advantage .... I would expect to see a resale .....and with RJET surviving in spite of the loss.
Tony , The news is on the media ...possibly SPIRIT .....a possible breakthrough for RJET.....The salient problem of excessive competition and weak p;ricing power continues for Frontier in any case ..
Apparently there is an interested buyer ......Does anyone Know who ? This would be positive for RJET.
