Where do you think you've missed the boat on MCZ? I mean you looked at the same numbers as B_fr_nk and let's give credit where credit is due. He was right and we were wrong. I say we because I'm in the same boat and want to learn from my loss. My thoughts are lack of credibility and investor faith in past CEO DR and ATM overhang. They would have been better off to "just do it" and get the dilution over with. TIA
I see Leapfrog and I got put out of our misery with the Vtech buyout at $1...anybody besides me still in it.
I counted 4 buyouts the other day not including AXLL which was offered a nice premium. Some stocks are cheap and the market will turn to the upside. When is the question?
Utilities are doing well...my XEL is sitting near a 52-week high and that's with a recent downgrade.
b_fr_nk,,,you are too funny....fact is I was wondering the same thing. If you are right than Hooray for you but Hey you got no skin in the game. If you are wrong than you miss out on a big payday. I'm hoping for the latter but you know what they say about hope.
Commandor you asked so I deliver. "China nationals provide 18% of all Thailand tourist inflows & 2% of GDP in tourist revenue. If slowdown in China subdues tourist spending Thailand could find its' revenue from tourism start to sputter." I guess it remains to be seen. Personally Thailand is a cheap vacation for Chinese tourists and I would guess only a slight slowdown is ahead. A bigger problem would be the Russian and Middle Eastern tourists whom have pumped up the condo market but are now backing off because of the downturn in their economies.
Doneatforty, I checked out your plays but seemed to risky for me. GIGM has had very large Insider Buying by CEO at higher prices and have already done their R/S so only a matter of time before it moves to the upside IMHO.
So far don't know much about China's slowdown but with Russian Ruble collapsing it is affecting Pattaya condo market. Dollar is strong which is good for me. Where I use to get 30Baht per $1, I am now getting 36Baht. So I am now getting an extra $20 per $100 exchanged. If anyone is interested just Google Walking Street or Beach Road to get a glimpse of the lifestyle here.
the obvious answer to me is diversification. They already have their lives tied to the company do they need to have all their money tied to it also? Plus it's not like I see any Insider Selling.
board discussion was complaining that this was worst Woot offering ever...they believed retail should have been $250.
I've been adding to certain positions on the way down...I found that the best time to buy is when I'm ready to throw up and have nothing to do with the market ever again...I haven't reached that stage yet..
Congrats B_fr_nk am glad you got out of NAII before the big hit to the downside...
