    Last week an article appeared explaining that such a purchase usually takes 6 months before being finalized. So , still 5 months to go.

    What you see now is a general move to push down the stock prices low enough to trigger "stop losses" .
    Another benefit of organized selling is to force those who bought on margin out of their shares.
    Put into that sausage some smart option positions and the cost of pushing the stock price down is offset by the purchase of the shares picked up on the cheap.

    Conclusion: What you see does not reflect value oriented strategies on the long term ( 5 months is nowadays a very long time) but short memory moves. These moves as described above induce poor results of many "bottom protected" funds,
    If the market were really efficient, you would see share prices much less dependent of overall economic waves.
