Seth: Hey guys glad you could make it to this months meeting.
Seth: I'd like to start off by saying that SODA is going to be in 2 more retailers in rural Mississippi.
Cold: Wow Seth this is very good news, how do the NPD numbers look?
Seth: Come on Cold you know they are good, they are ALWAYS good.
Cold: Yea this should help the stock turn a corner in the US very soon.
Bonanza: Guys the stock is bottomless and US sales are still very weak.
Papa: Bonanza! It is good that sales are weak! More customers to get their hands on SODA machines!!
Bonanza: Papa, there are a lot of people that don't have space suits, doesn't mean they want them.
Cold: Don't listen to Bonanza, he is trying to dupe you guys!
Cold: We all know that the machines have been selling on AMAZON like hot cakes!
DrJohn: Yea it is only a matter of time before they turn a corner, I love this management team.
Tony: (Drives by seeing the meeting in window) Thank God I don't go to those meetings anymore.
Tony: Cost me a lot of money but I have learned my lesson. Never invest in companies with incompetent management.
Whackjob: Sorry I'm late guys, I was busy cleaning up the mess from when my machine exploded. Syrup everywhere, it was a dangerous situation.
Seth: Well we have the earnings coming up here soon guys. They will surely lower guidance...
Papa: But Seth that won't make the stock go up!
Cold: Yea Papa, stock price isn't everything. Here has a diet SODA and relax!
DrJohn: Yea lets get the SODA flowing!!
Whack, Bonanza: (slowly creep out of meeting, until next time)
Alot of complaints because:
- Cheaply made (plastic)
- Wastes Co2 (not as many fills as as stated)
- Paying a fortune for Co2
- "triangle error"
- Bad tasting syrups
- Can't get soda carbonated enough
SODA puts out an "ok" product at best it seems, but more importantly (and more pertinent to this board) SODA is a terrible stock that won't make you money. After all this is a financial message board.
and only a few actually know what it is... People in the DC area are more health conscious and don't prefer soda in general. Maybe 20-30 yr olds isn't the demographic they are going after... But I can tell you first hand there is very little interest in this product.
This may all be true, but so what? It doesn't correlate to a rise in stock price. Terrible management and marketing plan will keep this in the cellar.
They made 600k in profits last qtr and are only giving away MORE rebates. Pretty soon EPS goes negative.
...And you own SODA. Stop sticking up for this company and terrible management.
-Negative EPS growth
Stop it guys, its ok to admit you got it wrong.
I noticed Seth has stopped his constant posting of his SODA trades that "lowered his cost basis".... I think Seth is severely underwater.
You can't understand them when they do say stuff (conference calls). So it wouldn't matter anyway.
And what if they disappoint you AGAIN this time John? How many chances are you going to give this incompetent management team? Or will you just come back and say that your time frame is longer...
