MOU to Contract timeframe in this situation....

I feel a 25 million sole payment up front is all GEVO will recieve along with cost of materials. That plus Praj's optimization of Luverne.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Notes:

    - MOUs skirt processes that would slow down implementation and cooperation, thereby helping parties get things done much more quickly than they would through more formal channels.

    - Memoranda of understanding work well between the governments of countries, too, sometimes to expedite an agreement on time-sensitive issues.

    My opinion:

I seriously believe a contract will be signed between Praj and GEVO in less than 3 weeks and probably sooner.

According to one poster on this board Praj shook hands with GEVO around December 2013 and has had plenty of time to conduct significant diligence on Gevo's corn starch-based isobutanol technology.

    GEVO needs cash NOW!

Praj Industries will get the GIFT, etc at a discount in return for a sizeable up-front payment and of course their expertise in improving yields and optimizing energy consumption at the Luverne.

Gruber didn't just pull that $25 to 50 million up-front amount out of his rear yesterday. I assure you the amounts have already been discussed and are only waiting to be fine tuned on the binding contract. Of course he could not give an exact amount as negotiations are still ongoing.

This is also operating under the assumption that GEVO has not had to make significant concessions in its LOI's that would hurt expected gross margins of between 20-30%.

At 25 million gallons/year and figuring in a MINIMUM .20 cent per gallon licencing fee going to GEVO that would be $5 million dollars/year(mnimum)!

GEVO current market cap $26.52 million, add $25 to 50 million cash and you have a double to triple minimum. GEVO NEEDS this to happen very soon and I'm sure they are drilling Praj. Expect something on it within next 2 months for sure.

This puppy will not sell for less than 1 billion U.S. dollars at this time! PLUG does not have the means and ONLY wants the hydrogen GEVO produces so PLUG can sustain supplying it's machines. Isobutanol production technology is the main product that is for sale here. PLUG is going solely for first dibs on one of GEVO's byproducts - renewable hydrogen.

It's all about the forward guidance and licencing deals coming. What Gruber says will guide the stock price today. It will most definitly be an upbeat call.

Gevo will market the isobutanol produced by Praj's sub-licensees. Plants are already in existence so 25 million/year in production starts as soon as GEVO bolts-on the GIFT system(about 6 months +/- IMO.

From April 23rd article: However, we believe GEVO has a compelling enough business model and plenty of intermittent successes to attract and secure funding to complete its patented GIFT process. In fact, we believe funding may come from a source(s) that are also considering purchasing the company for its licensing revenue following the completion of GEVO's development.

Memorandum of understanding with Praj worth AT LEAST 50 million over 10 years! Should've easily doubled GEVO's share price considering a current 25 million market cap. #$%$ is the hold-up?

    Proof of .20 cent cut..............

This is also operating under the assumption that GEVO has not had to make significant concessions in its LOI's that would hurt expected gross margins of between 20-30%. GEVO has said before that it is targeting to sell its product portfolio at an average of $3.50-$5/gallon and its long term goal is to produce product for under $3.00/gallon

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • My bad, I underestimated the value of this contract in an earlier post. At 25 million gallons/year and figuring in a .20 cent per gallon cut going to GEVO that would be $5 million dollars/year This is HUGE!!! AND TO THINK PRAJ IS ONLY THE FIRST LICENCEE!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • - On January 8, 2015, Gevo announced that it had met its 2014 year-end target of producing over 50 thousand gallons of isobutanol over a single month at Luverne. Based on data from its most recent isobutanol production batches, Gevo estimates that current monthly isobutanol production capability is approaching 75-100 thousand gallons per month. Given the progress made to date at a commercial scale at Luverne, Gevo is looking to accelerate its licensing program with existing partners, as well as establishing new relationships with new potential licensees.

Also- The technology is also at a point where we can accelerate and start generating revenue from our licensing business," said Dr. Gruber, Gevo's CEO.

    - Gevo is seeing enhanced interest in its alcohol-to-hydrocarbons business from potential strategic partners and is looking at multiple ways of monetizing this aspect of the business.
