that there will be more to this than............this. I will build my long as it develops........if I am wrong I lose 25k........if I had opened a restaurant and it failed (which most do right kids) I would be out 500k........so I like this risk play much better. Boolean

has potential and I am betting on it and will add to it as it unfolds.........if it unfolds. It is not for money you can not lose but if you don't have money to lose you should be in CD's any way. Boolean

and the next few months will tell more than you know - as the NFL season kicks in and the leaves fall we will see what this company can do.........the company is rolling out its offerings and more to come so though it is a risk play it has some very solid potential and may be a huge winner. I am willing to take the bet and have in a big way. We shall see. Boolean

  • It is amazing to me at they do not buy shares on the open market. They will take freebies but not put up their own cash but yet are more than willing to speak so highly of what they are doing and to make the case for investors to buy into it..........management and the board needs to be REMOVED. We need the big money folks to come here and send them packing - the company has value but it will not be unleashed until present managers and the board are removed. Boolean

hey - this is high risk for sure.......it's 50 cents a share OK.....I have followed this stock for years and it always has a second life and makes another run........maybe this time and maybe not BUT I love finding the blood in the streets type that come with a kicker and that kicker is Frank and Ray so I am willing to play some casino money on it. You only have to hit a couple of these to make up for those that implode. I feel this play is well worth the risk kowboy so we shall see if it rides off into the sunset or charges the enemy..............and that enemy is us. Boolean

Management is out of touch and not real interested in growing the business unless it falls into their lap......from the guberment......just awful managers and they and the board need to be booted out. That they are not all buying shares is a travesty.

  • in Lucas Energy this morning -- like the combination with Frank and Ray and where that may lead........still evaluating useg.........shows some strength here but still fighting its resistance areas and tomorrow will tell the tale of the tape as it will drop if this is just another fake move..........who knows. It is that time where you hold your breath and see how it shakes out but again.......I see 2015 as a bust out year for economic growth so oil is going to be in demand and their are some who believe NG will fly.......the Farmer's Alamanc who hit it last year is again saying the winter will be rough. Good luck folks........still not in but watching and whatever I hope you make the cash register ring in your favor. But don't forget - Mr. Market is a wily beast and always has the upper hand and loves to make you look like a jack............ Boolean

did not think I would get it at the 51 but I did.....this combination with Frank and also Ray Singleton of Earthstone gave me the green light to BUY an entry position and I will add IF it warrants. Both Frank and Ray are shareholder centric guys so I had to play this long shot stock........I love to follow smart managers. Boolean

yes u r correct the costs are certain and predictable NOW.......the uncertainty rises once they start activity there as costs will rise and unknowns will rise and water issues will rise and so on.......hey there is definitely potential here but I need to see the money - show me the money and some consistency. If oil and nat gas start a new price rise the outlook will also improve for useg. Will be interesting to see how they do in Q3 and how their reserves look and new drills/plans.

  • booleansearcher by booleansearcher Aug 25, 2014 7:46 PM Flag

I see no reason for it to break it so I would bet on a downside move where you could play the channel again......but Ms. Moly is a risk no matter what you kids say and without it the company has potential. Need to speak with management. Q3 will be a very telling quarter....... Boolean

    What were US Energy's earnings

debt/equity and price/book are good.......they are growing but they have yet to hit on all or even most cylinders. They seem to always find a way to #$%$ defeat from victory. Yes Buda is a big deal for them and IF they can keep driving cash from Buda this will help but again Ms Moly is a big issue and I just don't see how that is resolved. It is that point that makes me wince........and pause and not purchase yet. They have risen a lot in the past year and do have to digest that and then demonstrated the ability to drive it value higher consistently. I suspect the stock will remain range bound until that catalyst comes in. Boolean

yes 56k - flat vs 2 pennies last year so with their growth they still can not monetize their investments....YET. margin was solid up front and that was appreciated - the moly issue is big for me and is one reason the red flags are up brighter and higher as there is just too much uncertainty and how do they dump it.......pretty tough and to build it out would cost zillions and hitches would be many and running a mine ain't no free lunch. You would have to have a lot of things come together to make it work........it is an albatross........a land mine if it were. I AM NOT A BUYER IN THIS CONDITION and will be a watcher and monitor at this time......a trade situation is more interesting right here if any thing. With Earthstone you now have two shareholder centric managers and that is huge and I still say they are sold out in 2015 to first half 2016. US Energy is too risky and will need some unexpected catalyst to take it to the next level - it may come or may not and there still will be ole Ms Moly sitting there in her little house of cards at Mt Emmons........I don't trust her. Q2 Keith Larsen CEO statement

    by booleansearcher Aug 22, 2014 8:03 AM
booleansearcher booleansearcher Aug 23, 2014 9:27 AM Flag

I am projecting a solid 2015 economy so that should spell good news for energy companies - I believe that 2015 is going to be when the economic growth rates will start to show a stronger upward trajectory and that growth will broaden out including China and India who have been slower than expected but who both hold huge potential and pent-up demand. Infrastructure rebuild I also believe will be a strong driver across nations and that will be great for commodities and players of that sector. Rates will rise but it won't matter as growth will trump that move and negate or minimize any significant negatives for the market. I submit as I have said since 2009 that the new market revival post the economic meltdown will be more substantial than any one believes (was why I loaded up back then in leveraged S&P/Russell etc ETF's ie sso) as the disaster did a cleansing that was terrible to endure but like a wildfire will yield new and unprecedented growth.......like no other time In history. In time shorting treasuries will be good......like tmv and this could be the time to start nibbling there as they have been slammed hard. But I hold to my premise and convictions and will buy that which makes you wince as that is where the deals are. Boolean

at the end of the day it is.........the bottom line. All of the stuff in between really doesn't matter if it doesn't come to the bottom line. Stocks are valued on their bottom line number and not all of the stuffing. Sure you need to look at UNDERVALUED ASSETS and that is a great way to look at a company but USEG has not been able to show any skill level at bringing value to their assets. Now they my in Q3 show some of that we don't know but I am suspect as they just keep showing an uncanny ability to drop the ball and fail to monetize their holdings. Some managements are just inept in that way and others like Ray Singleton at Earthstone have the skill set to drive shareholder value. Boolean

    Question?

  • booleansearcher by booleansearcher Aug 22, 2014 9:20 AM Flag

It's financials and its overall body does not look good........yet. Right now it is trading at its reversal point and the numbers don't support any reason for a rise.......yet. Now that could and would change IF they hit something big of course or do a deal that alters their make up but for now I still see the stock as HIGH RISK and therefore not a suitable investor for any one but those willing to assume the risk. It does seem still to be a great trade stock as it is operates quite consistently within its channel. Just a point of view of course but it does appear to be strongly range bound with no catalyst YET to drive it higher. Boolean
