Louis Navellier is out with another "double in a year" promise about an electronics company that
he sees going from $35 to $70... sound interesting? Several other readers thought so, too, and sent the ad along to us, so we solved that teaser pitch for you here.
This was in Stock Gumshoe today as well so 2 sources of advertising...might see some increase in buying

My #1 Technology Pick Louis Navellier January 26th at 10:06 AM
    EMERGING GROWTH BUY ALERT
    My No. 1 Technology Pick
Imagine… an integrated technology company whose products are not only found in virtually every Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, and Aston Martin sold around the world…
…but also found in Electrolux dishwashers, KitchenAid refrigerators, and Jenn-Air wall ovens as well as locomotives, railcars, trains, construction, welding, and mining equipment…
…a company whose revenues jumped 20% and whose earnings grew 31% last quarter—ALL while handing investors 253% two-year gains.
So what, exactly, is the flaw here?
Ninety-nine out of 100 investors have never heard of this almost perfect $35 stock and yet its innovative user interface solutions are transforming the computing world just as Microsoft, Apple, and Intel did before it.
Here’s the full story, why it’s set to hit $70 in 2015, and why now is the time to grab it.
    Fellow Investor,
I’m Louis Navellier, and if you’ve been investing as long as I have, then you know there are no perfect stocks and no perfect times to own them.
Every company—from Apple to Google and every one in between—has a flaw built in that could undermine sales and earnings in all markets and in all environments.
Yet, the biggest flaw our research has uncovered with this $35 technology company is that few people know it or have heard of it—yet millions are using this company’s touch and user interface applications every single time they get into their car, run their dishwasher, or put something into their microwave.
    How can this be?
Because this company is the 800-lb gorilla of the touch and user interface technologies market—technologies that are now being integrated into virtually every electronic device on the planet.
When I say virtually every new electronic device on the planet, I mean it.

The Stocks to Use Ratio is a convenient measure of supply and demand interrelationships of commodities. The stocks to use ratio indicates the level of carryover stock for any given commodity as a percentage of the total demand or use. The mathematical formula for this relationship is as follows

Beginning Stock + Total Production - Total Use
    divided by
    Total Use

although not UAN it is a fert and UAN will tend to trade somewhat with the group
    MOS yesterday stated
Mosaic Co (NYSE: MOS) raised its guidance for the fourth quarter, and is now seeing EPS in the range of $0.83 to $0.88 versus previous guidance of $0.60.

The company said it expects phosphates volume, as well as phosphates and potash margins to exceed previously provided guidance ranges, and that potash volumes will be at the high end of guidance range. The company expects adjusted EPS in the range of $0.93 to $0.98 per share

The report did not hurt UAN

those earnings estimates are just guesses based on trends etc. Its difficult to predict anything beyond a few months especially a year. I've noticed the earnings estimates for most stocks here on Yahoo have estimates lower in the following year so would not put much stock in them.

Credit suisse or whatever had a few comments on Rentech some info can be gleaned
    .
"We have updated our model to reflect current fertilizer prices and a revised outlook for 2015. Overall, we believe 2015 should reflect a return to fundamentals . Although we expect ammonia prices to fall from the peak in 4Q14, stability in pricing should help the company better manage their inputs and strong pricing in the corn belt at East Dubuque. We are also lowering our target price to $16 (from $20) as RNF further evaluates options at Pasadena.”

At $16 it would still be a 45% increase

I am pretty sure Zacks does not use any fundamental analysis with their calls. It's all about earnings trends and chart patterns with them and the earnings trends they look at are backward trends. so in a situation like what Piper is talking about it is all forward looking and that is the way it should be
