Seems like someone is selling ahead of the call on Monday. This has happened a few times (with some buys ahead of the calls). Insider trading? smells like it... goes back to the whole issue of trusting management. Good news, I'm out and have been out, with a minor tracking position. Too bad because this one had a lot of potential....
and their paychecks have come a long way in a short period of time...They have a problem with their thinking that this is "their" company...when you enter into the public markets, the company ceases on being "yours" and is now owned by the shareholders....
I've been silent on the message board for a while, but have to chime in. You are exactly correct...time for a new CEO who knows what he's doing and will instill confidence from institutional investors willing to take large equity stakes in a great growth story. Just need Brad out...
absolute destruction to the stock price. Has EVERYTHING to do with management. The brand and products are running well, but the misuse of shareholder trust has destroyed value. The good news, if the price gets much lower it will be a buyout target. Revenue at $100M+ and market cap at $60M, someone is going to figure out a way to make a profit by taking these guys out, just won't at a good price for anyone who's been in MSLP for the last year...no chance of uplisting any time soon.
so basically, they took the bonus they paid themselves (after tax) and bought shares on the open market. So really, they didn't buy the shares with their own money, just the money they took from the company...I will take it as a sign of confidence, but still back handed and although not criminal, pretty unethical. These guys really have no idea what they are doing in managing this company. I will agree with early comments, Pyatt out as CEO, feel free to keep him on the board, but time to find a "big boy" CEO to run the show. I think that is why Bluher left.
This is now bordering on ridiculous...I'm #$%$ at myself for keeping the small (once large) position I had. get ready for a tough ride tomorrow..
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Ctruman, you bring up a good point. Bob has been very easy to reach and always willing to answer my questions in the best light possible. Thank you for reminding me to call him directly.
should i have a question or answer that i feel warrants knowledge on this board, i will certainly post.
I have been involved within the financial services industry for a long time. I know this happens, but the conference call questions appear to have been pre-screened. I was in queue, as is often the case, I didn't get my turn, however I look through these questions and the advisors listed and I'm under the impression they took no outside calls. I hope I'm wrong, and if you are one of the advisors please reply to this post, but it doesn't look good on the conspiracy theory front....
Compensation is the killer for shareholder confidence. It is a growth company operating at a loss and they are paying themselves as if they "made it". Too many corners to turn before they can/should get paid as much as they are. I've been a believer for a long time.
bloodbath...i wish I could hold on longer, but i'm now losing money... too bad, if management didn't screw around so much, they may have something here...
Too many unanswered questions. By January, when they lay out the "grand vision" they will have the opportunity to unload some of their own shares... Beginning to believe the negatives that they are scamming us shareholders..
out of the air..as shown by the 31 number... good number, we'll see how many "strong buys' it can pull in tomorrow.
no. a good number, but puts a FY sales at about 140-160...good, not great. We'll see whether we get any buyers tomorrow, thinking we will be flat to slightly up.
was people in the "know" selling ahead of what may be a bad earnings call...if they stopped screwing around and focus on the core business they could be bigger than anyone... I hope they prove me and the sellers today wrong and come out with HUGE numbers tomorrow...time for a dozen scotches...
Sales will be north of $38M for the quarter.... costs? who knows... these guys better have one hell of a call tomorrow. They have a LOT of explaining to do.
