What a joke.
What a joke.
Good thing market was up nice today or this would have been in the 6.30s.
He knew full well that a foreign entity could not own a US broadcaster yet insisted on misinforming everyone to try and influence them.
Hedgfundsally pointed out why WF cannot buy EVC and why others will be prohibited from buying it. I suspect Daninfw will not reply to her legitimate questions because he was caught with his pants down and a blush on his face.
I have no problem with anyone speculating but to misinform others about things one knows are not true or possible is rather sleazy. Daninfw does not post daily because he is concerned about your investment/trades but posts to influence others. He will sell the pops and buy back lower, which is why he keeps saying how this is a great trading stock. He trades it because he knows it is unlikely this stock will double or triple like he was initially claiming months back. Again, I have no issues with that but please refrain from outright lies to try and influence others to help you make money on your trades.
You asked Daninfw the same question in March and he never bothered to reply to you. I suspect he is trying to influence ignorant retail investors to buy on his pumping only to sell after it goes a little higher, then buy back as it goes lower...rinse and repeat. Hence why he keeps pointong out how "this is a great trading stock".
Your Post of March, which Daninfw never bothered to reply to (I suspect he will not reply to your current post as once again you saw through his misinformation):

Just curious but how does an activist assert any influence when the CEO controls 54% of the vote? Same question applies to your take over theories?
I think hedgefundsally put an end to the hype, unless a foreign company can now own a US broadcaster.
This is exactly the same kind of speculation Daninfw has been taking part in for months now to try and raise the price. I recall last quarter when West Face started to buy there was a flurry of speculation about how this would mean that they would become activists and even put in a bid to buy the company. Before West Face there was feverish speculation about how some investor would swoop in shortly and offer a 10+ bid, even before it was clear that there would be any auction.
Daninfw keeps saying how this is a great trading stock so I am wondering if he simply tries to pump things up to then trade out at a higher level, then buy back lower when his speculations fail to materialize. I love how he is now speculating that maybe the company even stopped buying back shares because a buyout is just around the corner. Been hearing the same story over and over for months now while the stock simply trades in a relatively small price range. Buying the low of this range and selling the high is what I suspect Daninfw is doing.
Agreed, you make valid points.
I think WF at most is simply getting in on a speculative auction play and hoping like other investors to make money on it (they did the same thing with a Canadian spectrum play before the spectrum auction in Canada-they never put in a bid to by the company nor did they try to manage it). All this talk of them becoming activists with some US company, taking it private, etc. is absolutely ridiculous. I would like to hear answers to your questions from Daninfw or a few others on this board that actually understand the sector and business as you raise very valid points.
Anyone can post here to try and pump the stock but they should at least answer valid questions concerning things they are speculating on.
I have lost count of the # of times you came on this board right after institutions filed to say "I have not seen this...where can I find this?...". You sound like quite the amateur so not surprised you make your investment decisions based on posts on a message board.
You have me mistaken for one or two others that have posted as shorts. I am asking legitimate questions and raising fair points, nothing more.
I have read your previous posts and you have never added anything of value. You simply agree with what what some others post but you know nothing about the business, whether the spectrum auction will indeed take place or anything else for that matter, specific to this stock.
Do you ever do anything other than speculate?
You have often been wrong but nevertheless continue to speculate: " Sure, the price spiked but at the risk of starting a rumor, it is also typical when discussions are taking place, for a company to stop any buybacks so as not to try and manipulate stock price as things are negotiated based on stock price."
The auction is real but not guaranteed.
Instead of folks simply giving a thumbs down why not engage in a conversation to explain why I am wrong, if you feel that way? Much of what has been posted for months on this board has been nothing but speculation.' We should have seen $10+ by now if those speculating had been correct, but they were wrong.
My point is that nobody knows what will happen going forward so the current speculation of taking the company private, etc., is no different than all the previous speculation, which was proven to be wrong.
If I am wrong in anything I have said please correct me.
