anyone know why value is raising 10b in cash??
"Mining giant Vale completed the sale of its stake in a Brazilian phosphoric acid producer. While the completion of the $52 million sale is "relatively immaterial," RBC's Fraser Phillips, Thomas Klein and Steve Bristo write that "it is consistent with Vale's goal of raising $5 to $10 billion in cash through restructuring and asset sales over the next 12 months."
I have. both live and recorded. if ceo is sooo confident in his beliefs- why isn't he pulling out that loaded gun and buying back the bonds at a discount?? he has 200m avail for it (amend shares for bonds). if he doesn't want to borrow (increase debt) than he should stop the div use $ to do it. when pps goes up (over 10) than resume div!
do you know the conversion date?
how do you know if they are? well they better be this is the single best way to use their cash! than move to buying back CLV which is something like an 80% discount!!!
because we have heard this before and its no surprise . in fact $1 target is plain stupid
will cause a world wide recovery (net of oil only export countries) next yr, and infrastructure boom. the US now followed by China (2 biggest oil consumers) leading the world out of recession.. guess what rises than (IO)
with the crash in oil will further expand the economy next yr so the US steel mills are going to be consuming LOTS of IO next year ....
lance said he booked what 1000 seats last call and stock didn't move. whats sale num needed 5k seats? 10k 20k 50k to get it to move off 30cents?
there has b some discount # they take cash and stock (or warrants) and remove the risk . they need give the co a fighting chance and fix the train wreck of a balance sheet (most tec co have very low or no debt) . if im a decision maker for large co no way im going w co with a balance sheet looks like that (unless they post performance bond).
also the debt is a boat anchor around their neck , didn't the debt trade at something like 20 cents? why wouldn't fortress or whoever owns it want to book a gain? if im debt I would be thinking survival is still a risk why would I want to take such a big risk when I can book a win especially before yr end? im a believer in "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered"
this is a tec co now so they need options to attract the best and brightest (and save cash). at 30 cents not sure its to exciting for the new recruits (unless they hand out millions at a time) any comments on what it will take to get the share price moving up?
