Here are the individual stock. No takers during this contest for KTCC. Maybe that is a sign of capitulation and a bottom. I was tempted but decided to go with my more growth oriented picks.

It is ironic that Alistair is complaining that AmTrust is trying to "silence critics" yet AmTrust is giving them an opportunity to explain themselves to a judge. I am glad AmTrust is suing some of these fear mongering shorts. Nice.

I would think that is possible when things finally work out. It seems like the applications are piling up. At some point the dam has to break and these things will hit the street.

OK, we are off to the races with another contest. The mood last week seemed somber like the start of the last contest. The main complaint then was that there wasn't much in which folks were interested. Despite that, the market gained 3% by the end of the contest. So far, this is a good week with which to start and kind of changed the outlook.

Also, my sincere apologies to valueBAMBINO. I got your board name wrong for the whole contest last time. Sorry!!! That is just another reminder that I am overdue in updating my glasses prescription.

Here is how the contestants rank:

Well, that made my day. I am so glad you are doing well. Often folks suddenly disappear from the boards never to be heard from again. There are a variety of possible reasons both good and bad. I have enjoyed your professional comments and wish you well! Good luck with and enjoy your investments going forward and have a wonderful holiday season

I have not been around the board for awhile. It just struck me as to how can a company be so out of touch with policies that they themselves have written???

It is kind of like you or I making a bunch of investments and having no idea on how they are doing. When asked about the portfolio, say I don't know and can't tell you anytime soon because I have to go back and listen to the last year of CCs and read all the quarterly and annual reports, review news, and take in analyst opinions.

I really don't understand why the company does not continually follow the performance of their own policies on a regular basis. How do they know how they did? How do they know what to do in the future? How do they know how price? How do they know if they need to make changes? How do they know if they need to exit the business? I just don't know why these folks are not experts on the business and their own policies that they have themselves written.

Sorry for the combination of true confusion and venting.

The price drop of the last two days (DEC 16)

Yes, cwn600 you are correct. The price is adjusted on the X-dividend date which as you point out is a few days earlier than the record date. You must buy the shares a few days before the record date to actually be recorded and receive the divi.

I had to laugh when there wasn't a ceo and everyone was whining about it. I was wondering how long it would take before folks would start whining about him. I didn't think it would be long.

Thanks and same to you. It looks like someone may have done fairly well collecting shares for the arb opportunity. I was thinking of it but didn't have the fortitude to do it with the uncertainty.
