Well you have better luck than I because I often get partial executions under 100 shares. In any case that is a nice and quick percentage increase.
I don't really disagree with your thoughts or even optimism. I have been involved since 2010 in the mid single digits and lower as it dropped a bit as you indicated. It is just that the story has been the same for awhile and the plan has not fully developed yet. I am not really pessimistic as much as I am impatient.
Thanks for your perspective!!!
LOL. I rant on many of the stocks I own but this doesn't happen to be one of them. This is a great message board. You can discuss concerns and negative possibilities with the company and not be crucified as some sort of basher.
I think this is just volatility. There has been much movement in the share price and a new earnings report to digest so things get a little bouncy.
This is a nice business opportunity. It is an industrial product. Being proprietary, this puts them in an exclusive manufacturing and selling position. That is somewhat different than the contract manufacturing type business that they also do. So far, they must have handled development expenses without a problem and now is the time to reap the crop. The margins should be good.
"I too owned it around 2011. I lost a bunch of money on it. ... "
I guess I don't learn from my mistakes. I am down a bunch of money on it again. The 84 year old CEO retired a couple of months ago. Another earnings report is due out on 5/14. Maybe I will recover some of the damages.
Yes, I was surprised too at the lack of LTE discussion. I think the only thing they said was that they were going to hit the 12 mil guidance for the year.
"How often do you hear this kind of talk on CCs ..."
Every quarter for years now from KTCC. It has been the same... our big customers have reduced orders but maybe that is near bottom or about to change ... we have new customers dying for us to do their business ... our new metal fab acquisition will bring in lots of new business ... our new PCB acquisition will bring in lots of new business ... yada yada yada.
Unfortunately, when you back out the 37 mil from the Ayrshire acquisition for the quarter and what ever it might be from the metal fab acquisition and you can't really see anything happening. Top that off with razor thin margins and bidding on low margin jobs to get business in the door and the results don't reflect the last half a dozen rosy conference calls.
I will stick with them for another quarter but man this is a long drawn out recovery.
I sure hope we don't get a bunch of bashers. This board is great and I appreciate everyone's comments. Maybe some of the short interest is due to hedging long positions.
I often wonder about analysts timing of up and downgrades. Often there is no news and change direction for no apparent reason. In this case, the acquisition was just announced so maybe they are bullish on that.
This must have been the reason for the recent price strength. I now doubt for any surprises on the the LTE front but it would be nice.
Of course it could lead to a stronger longer term chart. How can a strong long term chart not be preceded by a short one?
