  • NOT from the liars at NBC but the independent wire:

"One of the militants in the video makes direct reference to that possibility, saying the group now plans to "conquer Rome."

"Before the killings, one of the militants stood with a knife in his hand and said: "Safety for you crusaders is something you can only wish for."

ISIL is advancing on several fronts and now threatens several oil fields in the Mideast - even with massive opposition!

  • Our Supreme Commander-In-Chief has ordered 1 dozen Watrhogs, otherwise known as the A-10, to our European allies. This plane as ugly as it looks, is one of the most fearsome weapons in the American arensal to deal withRussian tanks - being specifically designed for it. Therefore I conclude that POTUS does not seriously belivee that Czar Putin and his crazed cohorts will abide by any cease-fire.

IF the US and the West increase sanctions against Russia the next level is bound to include SWIFT and precious metals. Then once the Russians are taken out of the pl/pd equation things should pop well for us SWCers!.

    I smell a SWC ..... BUYOUT! At $22?

It does happen! Yes, I have been on the SWC bandwagon for awhile - hope springs eternal. If investors did not think positively why then would they buy a stock?

Plus over the years I have made some good money in SWC unlike that dog-of-dogs, that vermin of vermin, that money pit-of-pits:PAL. What I have made in SWC I have more than lost in PAL. So, I know SWC has issues, but based on what I know, and obvioulsy a lot of big time smart investors, per SEC filings know too, I am confident that SWC is on an uptick.

  • The US media is totally underplaying the garvity of the worsening situations in the Middle East; note I say SITUATIONS!

The main one is that Iraq's biggest air base in Anbar province is under heavy attack as is the province itself and Iraq forces are hard pressed to hold positions and even to stop their troops from running. Anbar is the stepping stone to Bagdad itself! If the air base falls, air power will become extremely difficult to project. Once the rebels are in Bagdad even impossible because they will be mixed in with the civilian population. A leading Sunni leader there is begging the US for immediate help - and remember ISIL is heavily Sunni.

Then we have Saudi Arabia and the new king. They are surrounded by hostiles growing ever more belligerent and threatening all the time: ISIL, Iraq, and on and on. Plus their fellow Gulf State allies are not very happy with them keeping oil low not to mention many of the young and restless Saudi princes. And on and on. The future thus looks bad for the Middle East for great for American oil and shale. Bottomline: GDP has no where to go but UP..UPPP. and AWAY!

Yes, bell something is cooking per my previous posts. Three BIG stockholders have been adding lately per the SWC filings and now own over 28% amongst three alone. What is very interesting is that the Aussie consortium has been piling on in SWC.

My take: the problems in South African pt/pd mining are far worse and mounting and it is getting known. The production has to be dropping as vehichle production remains strong and even now picking up in Europe.

Years ago there was a pop from the teens into the 20s in SWC. I think the same thing could happed here shortly again.

  • Amazing, the BIG BOYS have been piling up on SWC per recent SEC filings.
    The latest

The below Aussies now own 11.5% of SWC!
    Vanguard owns 8.5%
    Blackrock owns 8.9%

These three ALONE now own 28.9%!

    (a) Platinum Investment Management Limited

    (b) Level 8, 7 Macquarie Place
    Sydney NSW 2000
    (c) Australia

I have been in SWC and have added more - it is a gem and certainly more so than with any startups here let alone in South Africa.

I was a stockholder in PLG and did look into it. That is how I got my comp cocktail party invitations.

They have a very different and I think better approach to mining pl in SA but the fundamental problem no matter how rich the deposits or advanced the techniques is still the extreme cost and difficulty of mining in South Africa. Heck , look at PAL in Canada how long they have been slugging it out and still have one foot on a banana peel and another over the grave! So I think money is far better off in SWC.

  • Today, Monday the 9th MCD was featured on CNBC's world famous SQUAKBOX. It was a total disaster as analyst after analyst just totally ripped MCD as a company hopelessly out of touch and floundering around.

    Some highlights:
    * The current menu is some 132 items - insanely complicated
    * The current ad campaign to bribe consumers with some "happy talk" is one of the stupidest and confusing one’s ever launched for a restaurant
    * The new campaign of "build a burger" will be a disaster with an estimated 8 to 10 minutes for one of these custom jobs over the 5 to 7 minutes for a burger now
    * Worldwide sales have DROPPED 1.8%!!!
    * MCD is a company without any focus and just floundering around
    * Probably in a long-time secular decline
    * Competition is very focused and eating MCD alive
    * They didn't mention the tooth found just a lot of reports of "foreign objects"
    * Asian supply problems

All in all, this was a PR DISASTER! Where is MCD management on this all? Is there anybody in beautiful Oak Brook worldwide HQ awake?

Things in SA are apparently worse than they appear. There are times they are ony able to produce power at 37%. This just amazes me that this has power problem business has been building for years even though they keep saying they have it addressed.

    Another quote:"
In 2008, blackouts stopped mining by Anglo American Plc (LON: AAL.L), Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (JSE: IMP) and Harmony Gold Mining Co. (JSE: HAR) which pushed gold and platinum prices to record highs."

As we have stated a lot of .big time investors own huge chunks of SWC - Blackrock for one. I think it is an excellent takeover target and is under-valued. Take over at 20? I think $25 would be doable if pl got over $1,500 per once which is where it should be on fundamentals - my opinion.

PLG I think is another "smoke-and-mirrorts" job. I was in it for awhile but when they started with the comp cocktail party invitations I smelled a pump job.

Well established long time mines in South Africa are strained right now just to make minimum targets for a host of reasons that have been cited here for years. So I do not see how a start-up could make a go at it let alone be successful anytime in our life times.

    Sentiment: Hold

  • The South Africans are still limping along with power problems let alone their water problems. One would think this all would push SWC up - but will it?

    See story below:
"Problems with South Africa's main electricity provider, Eskom, are crimping the plans of major mining companies that depend on regular power provision to run their operations, an energy users group has warned.

The Energy Intensive Users Group of Southern Africa said mining firms risk missing output targets due to a series of power plant breakdowns that companies are finding it hard to work around. Eskom, which provides 95 percent of the nation's electricity, was forced to ration power for four straight days, and for the seventh time this year.

If there ever was proof of gross manipulation this oil disaster is it! For years we were told the industry can not run at much more than 85% of capacity! They are now refining at over 95%! MASS EXPLOTATION AND MANIPULATION!

  • Things can not be going as well as they seem for the Saudis. They have ISIL to their north, IRAQ falling apart at the seems, Iran sable rattling to their east, complete chaos next doow to their south in Yeman, restless princes, budget deficits, etc, etc. - plus internal unrest. Their security forces are now averaging a beheading a day let alone the countless arrests.

And the king just re-did his cabinet yet again. One amazing thing he kept the Oil Mimister Ali-al-Naimi on. This guy favours INCREASED OIL PRODUCTION NO MATTER WHAT! But how long can the Saudis keep this policy when there are tons of folks at them to DROP PRODUCTION ASAP???
