On a day like today, all I can tell you is this. People told me I was crazy when I bought Visa, pre-split, at $87. They said I was nuts when I bought McDonald's in the $80's, and on and on. People complain, gripe, and moan. Now they prattle on about buying BABA at current levels. All I can tell you is that I wish... I WISH... that I could buy double the shares I bought today. And just wait until Ant Financial (which BABA has a 30% stake in) goes public. Of course, this is all in my opinion. Good luck to all!
Finished it yesterday. Fantastic insights and very inspirational! Made me happy to own the shares I have and I'll jump in today and buy more. If you understand this business, and let the opportunity to own BABA at current prices slip through your fingers, long-term you'll have only yourself to blame. Thank you, "Mr. Market" for letting me buy more shares at a discount. Regardless on where you stand with BABA, buy Duncan Clark's book. Tremendous read! Good luck to all! :)
Thrilled about the upcoming IPO for ANT. From what I've read, it appears that once ANT goes public that BABA will then own 33% of that company. I know they spun ANT off before BABA went public here in the states. The idea of instantly owning 33% of Alipay is mind-bending. Will probably buy ANT on its own, but even if I don't, am I correct in my understanding that BABA will own 33% of ANT once it goes public? Thanks guys!
