I'm pretty sure at this point you are just trolling for fun, but if not you are a f$#%ing moron.
Ya, good ole Meredith was constantly wrong. I actually talked to her the other day, she had a sex change and goes by Rodger Dodger now.
Hey Dippy, you need to learn how markets work. Dilution doesn't work like dividends where there is some date where the stock price just adjusts. The reason dividends work like that is because there is value to shareholders that hold stock until that date. There is no added value for anyone that holds until dilution date and so as soon as dilution is announced a stock adjusts for that dilution. You think you are some genius that figured out you could sell ahead of time and buy back in on 'dilution day' but the hedge funds and market makers are too dumb to figure that out and take advantage of it? You are delusional.
It is because of the dividend. The ADR price has been trading at a premium to the France price because it has had this extra value (the rights sale) factored in to it for a while. It will now return to being closer in line with the French share value.
You get condescending responses because this has been answered 1000 times already. If you are too lazy to read through a couple other posts than why should people feel the need to be nice and help you.
No, it's the same number. The $0.165 cents is after JP Morgans 1 cent fee they are taking off the $0.1754 payout.
