In 2014 TGC paid federal taxes of 1 million dollars. If TGC were a MLP they could have distributed about .02 last year to shareholders for each share owned if my math is correct. For the hunger in the market looking for yield TGC would be valued much higher than it is today. I realize oil is cheap and may get cheaper. But I feel that management should look at all options to increase shareholder value.
I have been in TGC for several years now. I can remember two different times where TGC's stock price jumped over .28 in a day. The day will come when this will happen again. I will still own my shares and probably buy a few more before this happens again.
